Right now I would say if you're seeking a computer career, the best bet is to specialize. Study Cisco products, Security, or MS Sharepoint development. The days of the all around computer tech are numbered. I work in a large Enterprise environment and with remote work, and user self service, the average desktop tech, and even network tech seems to be going away.
Right now, none. I have been looking for a tech support job since 2001 when I got laid off from my previous employer. As the last person stated, they work remotely. Remote Administration sucks!
In my opinion you should go for game development its really huge and great industry and in at least near future there are no chances of its going down. So go for it dude! Best of luck. :)
Probably the best computer job right now is to sit at home and look up net pron all day. Someday somebody might come along and pay you to do it.
