Top Careers over the next 5-10 years?
Hi, What are the top careers over the next 5-10 years? I'm currently a 2nd Line Support technician and it's something I enjoy, but I'm worried about my future within IT. I've been considering a career within product design, engineering design, etc. What jobs will offer good prospects, especially within IT and maybe design?

- My husband is a structural engineer...transportation and geotech....he has all the work he could ever want...I don't know if it'll be one of the best over the next few years...and the schooling is super intense, as is the certification for PE and other things...but honestly...he gets job offers even when he's not looking for them...never been laid off...great pay and benefits. I'm a nurse and there is NEVER enough of us...and our hosptial is ALWAYS short handed Surgical techs. Good luck to you!
- the baby boomers are now applying for benefits. they will need more and more health care professionals and IT support for all the equipment they use.
- All the big aerospace companies: Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, etc. are hiring tons of engineers to support our future defense systems thru government contracts. Get a top secret security clearance on top of that and you'll be working on nukes. Technology is getting exciting!
