career change?

im an electrician in my mid 30s with decent paying job. although sometimes i consider a change. is it possible to make alot of money as a history/geography major? does it have to be in the educational field? is it better to have a masters? is it better to go to a more expensive school to get higher wages?

  1. With a history major, you could be a teacher or get into a more general field like business. The money depends on where you work, since business pays a lot more than teaching. A masters would be better if you wanted to be a teacher, because you could teach at a community college, or teach more advanced classes in high school. Or, if you wanted to work in a museum or something, a masters would help there too. The price of the college has no effect on wages. The main reason colleges cost different amounts is that public schools are funded with taxes, while private ones are not.
