On-line corporate career sites. Putting you resume into the black hole?
I have been searching for work online now for the past six weeks. Do the companies like hotjobs.com, monster.com etc. work? I have been trying specific company websites and putting my resume into their "career resource" application spots. Does anyone have advice on this?

- If a company accepts resumes at their website then they probably look there first, so I would try that first. Monster is best for making yourself available to other companies you haven't heard about or visited their web site. But if you have specific companies in mind go to their web site. But, really there is nothing better than a face-to-face meeting. Look into job fairs, it's the easiest way to get face time with a recruiter.
