Job Search sites?

Can anyone give me some good job search websites? Preferably other than craigslist, career builder, monster. Thank you I am specifically looking for an entry level position in the public relations field or in magazines.

  1. What type of position are you looking for?
  2. http://www.jobstreet.com
  3. You can also try hotjobs.com
  4. Try these: http://www.creativecentral.com/central.htm http://www.newsjobs.com/ http://www.roundtable.org/ http://www.showbizjobs.com/ http://www.tvjobs.com/ Best wishes
  5. The best job search is Indeed.com: www.indeed.com. You can find jobs from all the sites you mentioned, Craigs List, CareerBuilder, Monster, and 5,000+ other career sites. Monster, Craigs List, CareerBuilder only show you a small fraction of the actual jobs that are out there. Monster has maybe 3% to 5% of all advertised jobs. Don't limit yourself or your career and search the big job boards when you can find every job, from every corner of the web at Indeed.com. However, you should be aware that only 30 to 50% of all jobs are actually published or advertised. And, applying to open jobs is one of the least effective ways to find work. Here's an eye opening blog post: http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-gql_axw8crRipm1ckEc-?cq=1&p=3 When more than 50% of all jobs go unadvertised, it's important to have a strategy for finding the unadvertised jobs While Monster would have you posting your resume and applying to every open job, it is know by every recruiter, headhuner, HR, and career expert, that the best way to get work is through networking. When I look back at my career, I found only two jobs through advertising. For one of them, I had a friend of mine who worked at the company forward my resume to the hiring manager. I got a phone interview from a recruiter, then the hiring manager, then I was invited into an in-person interview. So, my advice goes beyond finding a good job search engine. In my opinion, begin now by finding ways you are comfortable making direct contact or getting an introduction to hiring managers at places you want to work . . .without a doubt, that is the best strategy for landing jobs. And the best place find open advertised jobs is Indeed.com. And a good place to learn how to tap into the unadvertised job market is Career Marketing Online: http://www.careermarketingonline.com/get-hired-perscription.shtml Hope this helps.
