Full Careers

Please can you help?

I've just graduated from Uni with a degree in archaeology although my prinicial areas of interest are history, conservation and religious studies. I am interested in a career within the prison service which does not involve being a guard or security staff. As there is a need for qualifications to become a prison psychologist etc etc, what else could I do? I have been told that prisons hire occupational therapists but that these tend to be people with practical skills, eg builders and plumbers. Any advice? I am in the UK

  1. Back for a Masters.
  2. commit a crime
  3. Rob a Bank.
  4. dunno... :[
  5. Why dont you go the other route and apply for teaching in the classes they have. I beleive the best way would be to speak with the prison service or local goverment for teaching positions within the hmp
  6. Most newer prisons have a full hospital staff, doctors, nurses, TRAINED psychiatrists, etc. Simply contact your local prison and find out. Many go through the State you live in. Simply go to your state's website and find out what positions the prison is hiring for. Good luck! :)
  7. get arrested and then say i want to be a prison psychologist, can you help???
