What name is more attractive for a business plan I am putting together?
It is going to incorporate several programs geared toward educational and career counseling, summer workshops, presentations, summer youth development, and campus visits/college preparation. So far I have come up with these names (please pick what you like the best and say why): 1.Ceres Consulting 2.Ferguson Consulting 3.Community Consulting 4.Mosby's Consulting 5.Cereus Consulting 6.Community & Service Consulting 7.Community Service Consulting 8.Public & Community Consulting 9.Personal & Community Consulting 10.Individual & Community Consulting 11.LaTonia's Community Consulting 12.LaTonia's Personal & Community Consulting

- I like number 4.Mosby's Consulting Good luck sweetie
- I have no idea how the names "Ceres" or "Ferguson" relate to you, but either 1 or 2 sound most professional. "Community" "Public" are just too bland and generic.
- 9.) Personal & Community Consulting This title, more than any other, makes it sound like you care about the people you are helping. They get personal care from yourself, and you are helping the entire community (that needs it). All of the title with names, to me, seem to make it sound tacky and amaturistic. It sounds like an interesting buisiness you are putting together btw. I have just recently been doing a bunch of college visits, and I've had to figure everything out on my own. If there had been someone who took a "personal" interest in my desires out there, I might have hired them ^_^.
- #6 is my favorite by process of elimination. #8 - Second choice (might be too broad though especially if you are focusing on a particular community). 1, 2, 4, 5, 11, 12 - Unusual names are difficult to pronounce and hard to remember. 3 - Too vague 7 - Sounds like something to do with probation and court ordered community service. 9, 10 - Sound too personalized (people would get the impression it is personal life coaching) instead of a bigger scope, which it sounds like from your description.
- of yours i would pick Community & Service Consulting, but shouldn't it let people know that it is educationally oriented also?
- I suggest avoiding using Personal and Individual as this can be misconstrued. Given the broad spectrum of what you want to do with the business, I like the Community Consulting aspect - it is always hard to move into a new area and not have a central place to call and find out these very ideas you have mentioned - especially if you don't care to subscribe to the local paper - so don't limit your advertising to just the paper and radio. Use billboards, fliers, etc. Also, link with an already established group of Youth related organizations that might actually help in your advertising and use you as a centralizing unit for keeping abreast of what activities are going on when and where so as not to divide youth in equally interesting events at the same time. Good luck in your endeavor, I know our town could use this service!
- Ferguson Consulting, because the name has a nice "weight" to it. #s 1, 3, & 5 are alliterative (sp?) so they would be easy to remember. Community Service Counseling is nice (CSC) but it sounds like something someone is being ordered to do by the court.
