Which is a more promising and prosperous career, marketing or nursing?
I enjoy helping people but I took a personality test and it says my worst job would be nursing and I'd be good in marketing because I'm strategic and creative.. but I wanted to do nursing because it's a reliable career.. what should I choose?

- I would not go by a personality test. YOu know your strengths and weaknesses better than a test. Ppl tend to choose the easy way out, to avoid having to work harder at overcoming our weaknesses and I think that is not good for one. Good things come to those who work very hard even during adversary situations. If we work hard at something we dont particularly like, it is more a triumph in our life than having it all easy and not learning more. Because we learn more when we strive to overcome our weaknesses and do achieve it. I think you should go for nursing. I ask you as a person that is in and out of hospitals because I have a genetic condition that is killing my lungs and already killed my pancreas and other. I look great on the outside, but on the inside Im dieing. I have Cystic Fibrosis. And I can tell you that the medical industry needs thousands of nurses and with good skills and who have compassion and a desire to helping others. I am 43yrs old, have been and seen hospitals since age 2. I cannot stress enough the need for "caring nurses" because we patients really need them and the shortage is so great it does not give us quality attention many times in hospitals because nurses are overwhelmed with too many patients. If you want to get people help, marketing is not for uyou, its nursing. you can really help out people who need it to survive, not to buy something. Nursing has many rewards my friend. I am also one fo those who loves to help people and I do, in a different field. Disaster Relief Aid and writing to help the disadvantaged and poorest of ppl. Though right now I am only writing because Im still trying to recover from last year's hospitalization. I wanted to b a nurse but I cant, I am delicate and cnnot be with sick people. But the inherent desire to help people can lead to different fields. If your dilemma is between marketing and nursing, choose nursing and help many people that God will thank you for it. More than going into marketing where that field is not for humanitarian or helpful causes. Good Luck. Make the right choice and you also will be paid well and have many benefits. The nursing industry has not met its quota of needs! So you will fo r sure make it as a nurse!
