What tests would you recommend for a possible career change?
Would you recommend any tests be taken when considering a career change? I'm 40 and bored and can't see doing my current job for another 20-30 years. I don't mind going back to school, but I don't want to go back without a very good idea of something that matches my interests and personality. Are there any good tests for career changers? Obviously, the test itself won't really give me an answer, but maybe it will help me narrow down the options into a usable group. Thanks.

- I recommend a great book, "What Color is Your Parachute?". It's a great resource and is actually a fun way to do career exploration, plus it's updated nearly every year. The Five O'Clock Club (a job search and career change group in New York City) also publishes a great book--I really recommend this one! It also has tests included. - Check with your local college admissions or sholastic counseling office, they do have tests to help students that aren't sure what they want to major in. The results only shows strengths, interests, qualities, stuff like that. Other than that I don't have a clue. But if you can find something you love to do and get paid for it, you'll never "work" another day in your life. Understand? Good luck
