Career decisions?!!?
I do not know what to major in colleg. I attend a liberal arts college. I know that I should chose a career that I am passionate about and that money will follow later. As of now I am a Government major. I have changed my mind many time before. From pre-med. to architecture to pre-law to business major. I have taken time out of my life to think and reflect on my weaknesses and strengths. The probably is that I do not feel 100% passionate about a particular thing anymore.I dream BIG and wantto make a lot of money, because I want to give most of it to charity I have spoken to counsilors and what they tell me is to take personality tests, career tests, and makes lists of what I like and do like to do. All this is helpful, but still find myself changing my mind every day. I am 19years old. I know I'm young, but the sooner I organize my thoughts and have specific goals (not a broad goal of graduating from college) the sooner I will be close to being"successful" .

- Do something you like to do, like medicine or architecture, if you aren't planning on graduate school then don't worry about your major because jobs come and go - you have to specialize in something if you really want a career so do what you like.
- I recommend you obtain a degree in Business Administration or Business Management. They are broad programs you can do anything with. Admin if you are better at math and things like that, Management if you're more of a people person. Totally up to you. The main thing is you need to pick a subject and stick with it, you're paying a lot of money to bounce around from subject to subject and many of those credits don't transfer from one program to another.
- This sounds exactly like me when I was your age. I chose Business Management. That way I had the option of working for people or myself. Also, it is so broad that I could do anything from manage a restaurant to managing a broadway theatre company. The sky is the limit. Busniess Management also taught me how to manage myself, it's a very practicle major. Good Luck1
- just pick the major you are closest to finishing in and wrap up the school, if you do not know what you want to do. I spent 7 years in school bouncing around from major to major, and did not end up working in a field related to my major at all. It is good to have a degree, but if you don't have any specific goals, just pick one and get out so you can do some real-world exploration. If you figurre it out later, you can always go back and do a master's in that field (which trumps your Bachelors)
- Pray and ask God to guide you. He knows what is best for you. Give Him a few days and it will become clear to you. Trust God.
