- Currently, in the US, its Hank Aaron with 755 - and lets hope Barry Bonds is banned from baseball before he gets a chance to break the record. Worldwide, its Sadaharu Oh of Japan who hit over 800 during his career. And, its possible that because of segregation in the major leagues that someone in the old Negro Leagues - Josh Gibson perhaps - may have hit more than Aaron, but we'll never know because the records are incomplete.
