Career advice please....?
Im 20 yrs old and have a high school edu. in drafting. Somehow I got a job out of high school for a contractor. It's a small business & i am the only drafter. I've been working here about 1.5yrs. I make $12/hr & have full employer paid benefits. i dont enjoy the work very much & find myself playing on the internet VERY OFTEN. My parents own 2 petstores which i worked at in high school. the plan was they would give me my own store when i graduated but it didnt happen because of the drafting job Ide really like to run the petstore. I think Ide enjoy it more. I'll make about the same money but working 20 hours more/week I am torn between the 2 jobs. I really want to get out of an office. I hate sitting in an office for 8 hours/day w/o anyone to talk to. it drives me crazy. but i'm afraid to leave the job security & benefits. I am afraid that I will ruin my life if i leave this job. but i am only 20. If i run the petstore i'll have the opportunity to do something diff later in life. but i have a really good opportunity for advnace in the job im at now. my boss recently sent me to nyc for a class and he paid for everything. i can always get a better job indrafting but where can i go after working in a pet store? can someone offer me advice? should i stay in a job that makes me bored adn miserable but makes me money & i can advacne in or go to a job where i willl be manager, have fun, work with animals and have the opportunity to go to college? same pay but petstore will have more hours + commison for sold dogs. i really appreciate any help~ i love you all

- Listen to what you said.you're 20yrs old and have a whole life to live it's okay to bounce around and find out what you really want to do in life.But don't quit a job until you have another lined up can't be broke!! LOL
