Does "Posterwall.com" domain name work for a career/work/employment/job-search website.? This question is best answered by a native US English speaking person. I am setting up a career/work/employment/ job-search website and am considering using the domain name posterwall.com. Good domains are hard to come by. Question is what you think about when you hear "Posterwall.com". The idea is that Posterwall.com can refer to a wall where "Help wanted" and "Need job" notes are posted, like in a public requitement office etc. But if Posterwall.com just sounds weird to native US English speakers, off the mark, strange and definitely not appropriate for such I site I would like to much know it before I buy the domain name. So what do you think of the domain posterwall.com for a job search site site? Thanks. There is nothing on this site now but the URL will look like this: http://www.posterwall.com
How can one start a career in marketing research? I have a Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Marketing. I am interested in getting into a career in the market research industry, however I am having difficulty finding jobs in this field. Most jobs for marketing majors seem to be in sales. I do not feel that I have the right personality and strengths to be successfu in sales. I am more of an analytical, detailed, organized person who prefers woking with data and solving problems. I have looked on the major job search sites, but there are not many opportunities for entry-level candidates. I have researched companies who specialize in market research in my area, and I have been on two interviews, but no job offer. Should I start to look in another direction? What type of work could be a good stepping stone for somebody who wants to get into marketing research? The job interviews I had with the market research companies were entry-level posiitons involving clerical type work.Should I look for clerical positions for experience?
Job search help!! What should I look for when looking for financial counseling jobs? I am currently trying to job hunt and am interested in a financial counseling position with a non-profit compant. I DO NOT want to work for a credit card company...only non-profits! I am having a horrible time finding any jobs that are anything close to what I want to do. I am using Monster and Yahoo Hotjobs and can't find a thing. Anyone have any search tips for this career or any other sites that could help me? Thanks!! And btw, I will be an AFC (an Accredited Financial Counselor) soon so I have more than the needed experience and credentials.
Job Search sites? Can anyone give me some good job search websites? Preferably other than craigslist, career builder, monster. Thank you I am specifically looking for an entry level position in the public relations field or in magazines.
What are some good options as for a career in the United States of America? I am a current student at a community colege and this winter I will obtain my associates degree in arts. But I am a little confused to wht I can do with an arts degree. Also I was planning on being a spanish teacher, now that I consider the amount of money that a teacher normally earns, I am discouraged. Could someone please tell me some great search sites, which could help me find some information about the economy, growing industries, as well what someone can do that is bilingual?
Frustrated Recent college graduate...do you have any job search advice for me? I graduated from Penn State University in May 2007 and could not find a job. I finally decided to get a "time pass" job in retail in October 2007 and have been working there ever since. I am VERY frustrated with how difficult the job hunt has been for me. My major in college was microbiology and my gpa was 3.4. I am currently looking for any kind of job, even if its not in my field, that is at the college graduate level...i need to start my REAL career. I dont have any internship experience, which I feel is holding me back. I am considering a job in consulting right now and would like to know the best way to get into it. Are there certain companies that hire recent college grads w/ little experience? I have tried all job search sites, college career office (they aren't very helpful in getting you a job), temp agencies, gone on about 10 interviews, and am losing hope in finding a job. What should I do? Is consulting difficult to get into?
Can anyone help me with my finance job search? I will take any advice or opportunity regarding employment in the field of finance. I have a Bachelor's degreee in finance and in management from CU. I have management experience but no direct finance experience. I have posted my resume on all the career sites, followed up leads from the newspaper and friends and gone on several interviews. I have been at my current job for 16 years and my degree is from 2000. What else can I do? I have applied for jobs from bank teller to financial consultant. I will do anything just to obtain an entry -level position within my field so that I can gain some knowledge and experience.
Should i try for a career in the army? I am currently doing A-levels in college and since the age of 15 i have always seriously considered a career in the armed forces, especially in the Army and the air force. As a career path in the army i would join the parachute regiment, i have told my family this and they did not seem enthusiastic at all (probably because of the paras rep & the conflict in afghan/iraq etc)....they suggested that "the RAF is better for you", so i searched the careers site and in the RAF i am considering a fast jet pilot, when i leave college i am sure i will have the right qualification requirements, but on forums and from other people etc, have said that the compitition is high and a physics/science degree is what they are looking for, so i am not getting my high hopes on that . But i feel that i have much more military knowledge in the army than the RAF and more chance of becoming airbourne. In conclusion i would like some advice on this, that would be great. so....Army (paras), RAf (pilot) or Uni?
Info on alpha taxonomy as a career? I've been searching around career info sites, but most don't have any results involving taxonomy other than biology teacher. x_x I'm wondering what kind of education and training I need for this (currently 4yr biology program at McGill U). Also, what would my average workday be like, who exactly... would I be employed by (a univeristy or something), does this involve mostly fieldwork, labwork, or a mix of both, and about how much money can I expect to make? Informed responses only, thanks in advanced. :D
How does a website get submitted to search engines? I am not selling anything. It is a very small site dedicated to a deceased Jamaican reggae star whom I knew personally for several years. The information about her on existing sites was full of errors so I decided it was time to place all information about her - life, career and a discography - together in one place with correct details. Having already successfully corrected and expanded her Wikipedia entry, the next step is to have my site listed on search engines. This is my very first website so any help/advice would be much appreciated.
Career advice and stuff? I graduated from college over a year ago, and have been waiting tables since. I have a bachelor's degree in Sociology/Criminology, and haven't been able to put it to use. I am actually not sure what it is that I want to do, but I've been discouraged more by the fact that most social work jobs require a master's degree. I keep thinking that it's not even what I want to do, and so I am having trouble figuring that out. I have been job-searching for a year and I've been on a few interviews for b.s. jobs that I found on job search sites. I haven't even been called back for a second interview for crappy jobs! Does anyone have any advice about how to figure out what you want to do as a career, and how to go about finding a decent entry-level job?
Where Can I Find a Real Job Search Site? I have been using Monster and Career Builder forever. I need a site that offers real jobs. It seems as though the jobs on career builder and monster are always there no matter how many people apply.
What Job Search site is best? Career builder...monster.com? What sites are out there...what has been your experience, which one just caused you to get spammed, which one was best?
What are the best ways/sites to go about job searching on the internet? I'm looking for a career level job. I have been a school teacher for 16 years. I'm looking for a job outside of education, and if I don't find one, there's no reason I can't still be an educator. My family and I have recently relocated from Longview, TX, to Sherman, Texas. I'm already familiar with HotJobs at Yahoo.
I will be graduating, fashion job sites?? I am graduating for a business school - but I want to be in a more fashion career focus, but my school does not have any good contacts in fashion. Other than applying and sending my reume through the actual company website - do you know of any job search sites that are focused on fashion. I have already googled it (oops! or should I say Yahoo Searched it!) and I see what the response is- but some you have to pay...I can't really pay...but maybe you have experience with it?
What are good job searching sites? I like craigslist but I wanted to look at other sites. Are there any other sites like Craigslist. I am a college student so I'm not necessarily looking for a career just yet. Any help?

Which one of the career websites is best for a 48 year old job seeker with previous management experience? I've used careerbuilder.com, monster.com and yahoojobs in the past with some success. But my previous management experience (in human resources & labor relations, specifically in the hotel & cruise line industry) is now 15 years in the past. I know my resume is strong because I was a partner in one of the best resume writing firms in the Washington, DC area in my last professional position. However, I'm a little less optimistic in my employment search now that I'm in my late 40's. I know that younger candidates are often viewed as more desirable from all the hiring decisions I was involved in during my prior HR career. I would network my way to a new job since I know that networking is one of the most effective ways to find a job, but I no longer have any contacts in the HR field. That's why I'm using online career sites. I welcome all suggestions.

Do any reputable colleges offer strictly online degrees aside from Umass and Drexel? I have a bachelor's degree in accounting and am looking to earn a degree in computer science or a related major. My work schedule isn't well-suited for earning a degree in class and I'm not impressed with online schools such as University of Phoenix, Strayer, and all of the other ones that flood career and search engine sites with advertising. I was however interested in finding out that Umass and Drexel allow students to earn degrees solely through distance education. These are the only two reputable schools I have found so far that offer online degrees. Are there any others?

Realities of Nursing as a career? Hello! I'm considering going back to school to pursue an associates in nursing to be an RN (or at least start off as an LPN/LVN). I am interested in nursing to 1) help people and 2) to have a stable career. But I have done some searching online, and have found quite a few current nurses who hate their careers. Many of these ladies (and men) site cattiness and backstabbing at work, verbally abusive doctors and patients, and no support. As a male, I realize that I would be going into a female-dominant field, so I would expect some friction there. But this abusive behavior seems to be spread across the board! Such a negative work environment would make this career unbearable. What are your expereinces with this? I know it is a high stress field, but that does not excuse the supposed lack of professional respect. Here is the site I found these opinions at for reference: www.aboutmyjob.com What are your honest opinions about today's nursing field as a job?
