What is the best way to search for a job which involves travel? Im currently an accountant for a large company and most days consist of balancing not falling asleep and updating spreadsheets/databases. I would like to move into a financial analyst role that would involve some travel, as I feel this would add an interesting dimension to my career. The problem Im having is with the major job search websites, non of which seem to offer much info regarding travel involved with the postings. Does anyone have any ideas where I can find this information, or even a specific company to look into? Anything helps!

All I am finding are scam jobs on the career websites and no listings in the newspaper. When I try to look on the newspaper websites, they direct me right back to the stupid careerbuilder, monster SCAM jobs. How can I start to find employment in other cities. Whats the normal relocation process for moving to another city? Did the company help you? Let me clarify. I have EXHAUSTED all of my resources in the Chicago area. Which one of the career websites is best for a 48 year old job seeker with previous management experience? I've used careerbuilder.com, monster.com and yahoojobs in the past with some success. But my previous management experience (in human resources & labor relations, specifically in the hotel & cruise line industry) is now 15 years in the past. I know my resume is strong because I was a partner in one of the best resume writing firms in the Washington, DC area in my last professional position. However, I'm a little less optimistic in my employment search now that I'm in my late 40's. I know that younger candidates are often viewed as more desirable from all the hiring decisions I was involved in during my prior HR career. I would network my way to a new job since I know that networking is one of the most effective ways to find a job, but I no longer have any contacts in the HR field. That's why I'm using online career sites. I welcome all suggestions.

Dept. Store Buyer: Career Question? I am interested in possibly becoming a buyer. Unfortunately, I am stuck in Washington, DC permanently so I can't move to a fashion mecca like NYC. I was searching various dept. store career websites and all of their buyer positions seem to be located at their corporate headquarters. I had always thought that each store had its own buyers (and then, of course, there are regional buyers as well). Is this not the case? I have never seen a fashion buyer position on DC craigslist. Does each store have its own buyer? Thanks!
Job Search sites? Can anyone give me some good job search websites? Preferably other than craigslist, career builder, monster. Thank you I am specifically looking for an entry level position in the public relations field or in magazines.
Highschool student in search of a career? Hi everyone, well right now I'm 16 (17 in a couple of months) and am the top of my class in highschool, im taking a lot of AP courses and am really working hard but Im afraid it may be all in vain as I dont really know what I want to be when I get out of highschool. Looking for job/career statistics or at least some good websites.? I'm looking for information concerning the following: - avg # of people who change majors in college - avg # number of times people change jobs/careers - # of poeple who change jobs/careers - how often people change jobs/careers (meaning for an individual how long they stay in one place) etc. I'm not so much looking for actual numbers as websites that would have the information and/or some corresponding analysis. I'm searching too, but I figured I'd put this out there in case anyone's already aware. And hey, if you're an expert on the subject, I'd welcome the opportunity to converse. Thanks!

How do I begin working with the philanthropy program of a corporation? Most corporations have foundations to support their community interests/giving but they don't provide information about how to become employed with these foundations. Would it be better to get a job as a dental hygienist or a dental assistant? Both careers are supposedly in demand and yet I only see employers seeking dental assistants on job search websites. I want to complete a degree in dental hygiene but I don't want to get out of college to find that I can't get a job. Dental hygienists earn more than dental assistants but is being a dental assistant the best choice (considering that it will be easier to find a job as a DA)?

Can someone please help me with my job search? I am about to graduate from a business school in May, and I am currently looking for a job in public relations or marketing. \ I have searched all over monster.com and those other job search websites, but a lot of the jobs are for people with a lot of work experience or are for training programs. I have a job fair coming up at my school in March, and I have been trying to network (however the only people who were able to help were relatives in NY who knew of positions in upstate NY which is a little too far for me to start out my career). I am very interested in working as a representative for a company, and I would like to start out in an entry level type of position so that I can learn more about the marketing field. Right now I am not trying to be TOO picky when it comes to the positions, as long as it has to do with marketing. If anyone knows of any full-time job openings in the MA, CT, or NH areas...PLEASE let me know! I would really appreciate it! Thanks!
why do Singapore companies advertise career opportunities worldwide with a note: for Singapore residents only? This really tickled my curiosity. Why would they put the job opportunities in an "international" job search websites, but at the same time put an extra note of "for PR holders or Singapore residents only"? And is there such company who'll fully sponsor their international workers? I mean, when I look for a job abroad, I'm thinking to get paid. Not pay for all the cost. Anybody got an answer for this? Thanks :)

Should I use the attorney job search service known as "Legal Authority"? I received a letter from Legal Authority http://www.legalauthority.com today and while the job prospects on it sound promising, how is it different from databases such as Monster or Career Builder? Is it worth the money to pay someone to search for a job for you? Have you used it before? All I want is a government job, and I think I could just go to the websites directly to apply.

How long should it realistically take to find a good job in your field? I recently moved to Chesapeake, VA so my spouse could accept a better job and I have been searching for a job for a month now. I have worked in Operations and Logistics for over a decade and am looking for similar work. I have my resume posted on Monster, Career builder and several other job sites. I think thats crazy. Am I being unrealistic or is he?

Any websites on Czech culture/Czech women etc..? I am interested in learning about the culture and especially the women. I am a divorced (no kids) 30 year old man from Boston. I am tall and fit & have a good career with very good salary. However, it is exceedingly difficult for me to meet quality women in Boston. I am simply average looking and cannot compete with the other men in the area. Though I make good $ I just can't compete with guys who make 150K, 250K, 400K etc... This place is crawling with guys who make this money. I don't smoke, do drugs or eat junk food and this really makes it hard for me to find women who also don't do drugs/smoke etc..I seemingly don't have anything in common with american women, but have found women from Europe really like me. A number of women from Europe said I should probably move to Europe. Unlike most american men, I never cheated on my girlfriends. I have never just slept around. I am looking for a LTR and do not use women. Any websites you may know of to help me in my search is appreciated.

Careers & Universities in the UK? Hi! I am an overseas student, I will join the University of Reading this fall to enroll at a postgraduate taught MSc degree in the department of computer science. I've been searching the Career section of many main employers websites (for example, British Telecom BT.com, and other important companies in the industry), I noticed that the Open Houses that they do are only at places like Imperial College, Cambridge, Edinburgh, ... and the like, the top names, does it mean that if we graduate from a more modest university (like Reading) we are less likely to get a job at such important companies? Any valuable comments about this are welcome! Also sharing your experience with this is much appreciated. I'm not European, and I don't know how important University Ranking is important for the best graduate positions. One more thing, if you can tell me about the attitude of UK employers towards hiring foreigners. Thanks a lot for your time.

Traveling Radiographer/X-Ray Tech/Radiologic Technologist...? I'm finishing an associate degree in radiologic technology in Spring 2008. After establishing a year or two of experience, I'd like to become a traveling RT. I'm looking for advice on what agencies are best for that. Every agency claims to be the #1 agency, with the best pay, best housing, best jobs, best locations, etc., and they can't all be telling the truth. Plus when I search for radiography jobs on their websites, most of them come up with zero. Has anyone actually built a decent career as a traveling RT? I'd like to know more. Thanks! (I want advice from real x-ray techs, not recruiters, by the way. They'll have their chance later.)
