Where can I find a good FREE Career/Personality Test? I've been in the military for 3 years now, but know that i don't want to stay in. I'm a military police officer and I've decided that law enforcement just isnt for me. Ive been searching everywhere to get an accurate test that isn't going to make me give up a bunch of personal information (phone numbers, home address...i can deal with email.) I've been googling it all day and haven't found anything satisfactory.
Keirsey Temperament Sorter or Holland Codes career test? I'm wanting to purchase a career/personality test that will tell me what kinds of occupations match up to my personality, characteristics, abilities, etc. Which one of these is better? Any personal experience with taking the tests please share! What is the best profiling test for careers and/or personality? I have taken the Myers Briggs Personality Type Indicator and the Strong Interest Inventory tests about 2 years ago. They are expensive, but now I am not too sure it they were that accurate, perhaps I read through the problems. I am really looking for a test that is cost effective and functional. I have an idea of what I want to do; I just need to validate it with something concrete, so that I can continue my reasearch on the matter. FREE tests would be GREATLY appreciated.
Did a career aptitude test ever direct someone to their final career choice? You know those career aptitude, interest surveys you can take at your local college that are supposed to analyze your personality and tell you what kind of job you would be good at? Has anybody actually done one of those surveys and then taken the suggestion given to you by the test? I dunno...the first time i took the test it told me i should be a farmer...lol..and thats definately not me. i think ill try again.
Are you an INFP in the myer briggs personality test? what careers interest you? Introverted INtuitive Feeling Perceiving Do you feel you can relate to others but others find it difficult to relate to you? what are your dreams/visions to heal others or make a difference in the world? (INFP are 1-4% of population, this is why I would love to hear from you) :) I am not limiting myself though to the INFP type, but in the myer briggs test everything about the description is spot on! I have just found this website of posts from other INFPs around the world. http://www.theintrovertzcoach.com/famous_infps.html
Does anybody have a job/career but they do not like it? I'm currenlty taking classes in the nursing program. I'm in a program because my relatives keep pushing me (mostly to earn more money and be successful). My relatives keep telling me that I can be a nurse and still young enough to pursue what I like. Being a nurse is hard. I feel like I could not be a nurse because there are a lot of hassles (e.g. lawsuits, liabilities, etc.). I'm caring and compassionate, but there's always a fine line how long I can be caring and compassionate. I took this career personality tests and the results said that I'm mostly artistic. The thing that I'm worrying about is should or should not follow what I like/interested with. I presume that most people are artistic; they take this same path, some fails, some succeeds. My problem is what career I should take that relates to what I love, but still not be in a gamble situation to fail? I'm just stating this to know if there are people that feel confuse or worried like me.
career path/aptitude tests/personality tests? i want to know what it is that would be great for me...i want a career that would let me leave work and go take my kids to school, pick them up, go to their games and have space for my social life..but i love interacting with people..i want to learn about the bodily functions of a human being/health..but i dont want to be stuck in an office for 5 days a week and 8 to 10 hours a day..any ideas please help..thanks in advance..
career test? I'm looking for a career test where, instead of directly asking what professions I'm interested in or asking me to describe/select descriptions of my personality, it actually tests whether or not you have those qualities by giving a scenario with an subjective objective and giving a list of ways of reaching the objective. Also, the scenarios should be based within various professions for the sake of testing the user on whether or not they would actually be fit for said profession. anybody know of any like that?
Where can you take a free career aptitude test? Something that is really based on personality and interest. I'm having a problem deciding on what I want to major in when I go back to school. I'm good at anything I do because I'm a very fast learner but I want to go into something that would make me happy, money isn't really something that I'm interested in. Any ideas?
Fancy doing a personality test? (72 questions to answer)? If so, see www.humanmetrics.com. On the left hand side, click on "Jung Typology Test Jung Career Indicator Free". Click on "Do it". There are 72 Yes/No questions to answer. Click on "Score it". What is your personality type, according to the test? Does the personality described, ring true for you? Apparently, I am an ENFJ. Extraverted - 11% Intuitive - 62% Feeling - 50% Judging - 44% When you have the 4 first letters of the result of the test, e.g: 'ENFJ'; (if you like) you can google those 4 capital letters. The first result on the search should be: www.personalitypage.com, which will give you more info about your supposed personality type. Does the description of the person sound like you? Mines pretty accurate, I think. It's quite odd reads something that describes you quite well. (Although it's not 100% accurate of course).
how do I know what my strengths and weaknesses are for my next career move? I have worked in the beauty and skin care retail industry for about 8 years and I am having a hard time figuring out what my strengths and weaknesses are. Should I take a personality test? I want my next career move to be a monday thru friday job , something where I am constantly on the move and make at least $39000 a year with benefits. any suggestion?
Career decisions?!!? I do not know what to major in colleg. I attend a liberal arts college. I know that I should chose a career that I am passionate about and that money will follow later. As of now I am a Government major. I have changed my mind many time before. From pre-med. to architecture to pre-law to business major. I have taken time out of my life to think and reflect on my weaknesses and strengths. The probably is that I do not feel 100% passionate about a particular thing anymore.I dream BIG and wantto make a lot of money, because I want to give most of it to charity I have spoken to counsilors and what they tell me is to take personality tests, career tests, and makes lists of what I like and do like to do. All this is helpful, but still find myself changing my mind every day. I am 19years old. I know I'm young, but the sooner I organize my thoughts and have specific goals (not a broad goal of graduating from college) the sooner I will be close to being"successful" .
Career path to choose? Career path to choose? I am at a real crummy point in my life. I have graduated from college 2 years ago with a degree that I am not using. I have taken many personality, career tests on line and have found my strong points are in social work, but I feel that I have wasted my degree in a sense. I have a science background, but do not want to work in that field. I am debating between nursing, teaching, and counseling. My parents want me to be a teacher, but I'm not so sure. I've heard there are many rewards, but also draw backs to teaching. Help! What should I do? As a side note: I think nursing will be a great career path for me, but I do not want to work for the money. I was brought up in a home where there was a lack of money & I do not want to do nursing for the wrong reasons. What should I do? Should I go for the job with more opportunities (nursing)?

Any site with really good personality tests? I've been using tickle for a while, but it is just for fun. Do you know any website with serious personality/ psychology tests? Ones that they'll make you go "Wow!" Not silly like "What does your aquarium say about your career?". Thanks
Career Question? I am currently a Junior in High School and I know I "have plenty of time to explore" but I want to gear myself for the rest of my life now. I have gone from Civil Engineering to Sports Agent to Advertising Executive to Doctor to Police Officer to FBI Agent to Sports Journalist to Broadcasting in my thoughts. I don't want to choose a college or a major first because I want to major in something that elevates my status in my field. I also want to choose a college that has a great reputation in that field. I have taken numerous career test and personality tests and every other test imaginable with little result. love sports, but realize a career involving sports isn't very realistic. I am pretty good at math, but don't enjoy most of it. I like talking to people, sometimes peruasion. I don't really have a favorite subject in school even though i do overall pretty well. So my question is this what are some job opportunities that pay well and don't require alot of schooling.

Myers Briggs test scored: INFP. Holland Career Code is A-I-S. IQ of 126. Which careers would fit best? I know this is only a limited amount of information, but which careers do you think would fit best with these test results? The Myers Briggs Personality Profile test said this person was Introverted, iNtuitive, Feeling, and Perceiving. The Holland Career Interst Exam said this man is mainly Artistic, but Social and Intuitiveness scores tie for a distant second place. The IQ scores out at 126. There are probably a lot of jobs this person would be great at, but which ones in particular? This person already holds a MA degree.
What customer-focused professions pay well? I just took the Meyers-Briggs Career Personality test and the results indicate that I would fare very well in a position that required me to interact with clients as regularly, since I am highly social. Besides sales, can anyone provide some ideas on possible career paths? My mind keeps thinking that this is really "customer service", which we all know does NOT pay well.....
Which job should I choose while I make a career change? I'm in the process of changing careers from city planner to holistic health care and I plan on starting with massage therapy. I'm making this change because my personality type just does not work well in a business office environment. After taking a few personality/career assessment tests I've determined that I should be in a career where I can work one-on-one with people who need physical and/or physical care. I still need to make money while I transition. However, I'm staying with my mom while I go back to school so I don't have to pay many bills. My job options are 1) Do some short-term/high-paying work for FEMA where I could save money before going back to school full-time and then get a part-time job, while I'm in school, doing something related to my interests. Or 2) work for the Fed government full-time while going to school full-time at night. Which, sounds terrible to me but then again I'd have steady pay and good benefits (but when would I sleep or study?).
Career sites? Does anyone know of any really good career tests with personality and aptitude tests etc. Thanks
Okay so I took a career interest test through my college and it came back with a high interest in 6 areas....? so is that why I have a hard time deciding exactly what I would be happy doing? I scored a high interest in : Production services Farming/Environmental Physical Sciences Biological Sciences Politics My personality type is INTJ. The thing is, I like so many different things but I dislike math and computer science (which is the most recommended career/major fields). I like philosophy, thinking, English, anthropology, etc The only thing I can be sure of, I do not want to go back to retail or food service if I can help it. What career area would be good for me. I took this "test" to limit my search, but it just gave more things to consider. Advice for a 32 year old who never wanted a career? I just like so many different things it is hard to eliminate.
career test? can anyone suggest a good careet test that will actually suggest what career is best for you rather than saying what your personality type is etc etc
career test? Can anyone give me a site for taking tests to find out what type of careers you would like to have (based on personality and what you like to do). Books would help too. You'd think that it would be so simple to decide what you want to be when you grow up but I've been having doubts about mine so I need to come up with a back up plan.
Career Tests???? I wanna know if their are any sites where u can take a career test based on ur personality that will give u the results and u can also research them on the same site. Please!!!!!

Which HR Career is a perfect match for an Introvert? I took a career test at www.careerleader.com and the test results showed that my top career match is Human Resource Management. Before taking this career test I have taken other career tests which have shown that my personality type is an ISFJ (Introvert-type). I have noticed that Human Resources consist of several career paths including: 1. HR Information Systems Specialists 2. Classification Specialists 3. Compensation and Benefits Specialists 4. Recruitment Specialists 5. Placement Specialists 6. Employee Benefits Specialists 7. HR Development Specialists 8. Performance Management Specialists 9. Employee Relations Specialists 10. Labor Relations Specialists Keeping in mind that my personality is an ISFJ (Introvert-type) I want to know which of the above career is a perfect match for an Introvert?

Know any career sites? I am looking for some websites that will help me to learn more about careers! Not personality or skills tests buy simply tell me what is required to be in this career or that career what they do what they make and how to become one. Does anyone know any sites for that?

What tests would you recommend for a possible career change? Would you recommend any tests be taken when considering a career change? I'm 40 and bored and can't see doing my current job for another 20-30 years. I don't mind going back to school, but I don't want to go back without a very good idea of something that matches my interests and personality. Are there any good tests for career changers? Obviously, the test itself won't really give me an answer, but maybe it will help me narrow down the options into a usable group. Thanks.
OOOO.....help me pick a career!? I need help! Does anyone know where/what website I could go to in order to take some type of personality test to determine what would be the best career for me? I'm in college and I want to do something I love. Please help me!
Business degree: what specialization? I did a personality career fit test and found out tt the area of communications would fit me best and second best would be business. However, I am not confident to just major in communications so I intend to do a double degree in comm and business. However, which specialization would be suitable? I do like to interact with people but mostly I would rather do my work independently as I like to be in control of my own work. So would it be marketing or management?
Do jobs in U.K. require personality tests ? I am living in the U.S. and it has gotten so much more difficult to get a job without having to go through endless background checks and drug tests and some are even doing credit checks and now I have heard that places like Taco Bell and Jack in the Box restaurants (dont know i you have those there) are requiring "personality tests" to be hired . And even i you are hired they make you go through a week two training process where you have to watch boring movies about how to act around customers or how to cut a tomatoe properly and how to wear rubber gloves and endless endless company policies and rules that you have to agree to. And this is just for a job that pays what would be equivalant to 3 or 4 pounds per hour! and they always hire more people than they actually need so you have to compete with each other for this job and at the end of a few weeks your manager will let you know if you "won" this excellent career opportunity or if he has chosen another of the other 5 people!
Is this a viable career startegy? I've been trying to figure out a career path over the past year and nothing completely feels right to me. I've taken a plethora of personality tests and have looked into teaching, market research analysis, photography, etc. I'm 32 and really wanted to find a career path to which I could completely dedicate myself, but nothing seems right for me. Money is important, but I need to do something that is interesting and fulfilling as well. I have a B.A. and experience in politics, marketing, and project management. I'm now considering looking for a job that sounds interesting to me without worrying career path implications. I think that regardless, I can use the experience in the future. Career jumping is becoming much more common these days. I'm starting to think that changing careers might just be a reflection of my personality and I should stop trying to fight it. Am I missing something or should I just simply look for a job that interests me? Thanks in advance
I need some help with a career change into the finance world...? Hi everyone -- I'm a M.S. Student in Aerospace Engineering, but have decided that working as an engineer after I graduate doesn't interest me nearly as much as working in the finance world. More specifically as an investment banking analyst or stock analyst. I have been doing a lot to learn about the financial world, like reading the WSJ everyday, reading about what careers in the finance industry are like, talking with friends & mentors, taking personality tests, and enrolling in finance & business plan courses. However, it's difficult to get a job in the industry at this stage, just because I AM an engineer...and don't know much past the basics of financial statements, etc. Can you give me some advice? Or some resources as to go about making this career change easier and more successful?
