Is it worth paying for a Career Builder account upgrade in my job search? My husband has been searching for a job for four months and so far no interviews. He has a great resume, education, experience, background, and portfolio...no reason why he shouldn't have some interest out there. Upgrading puts his resume to the top of a employers list when they do a search...worth it?
Any other websites besides career builder? I have tried everything to find a good job, careerbuilder, monster, jobs.com, local paper...everything. nothing is working. Does anyone know of another website or does anyone know where I can find a local head hunter? I am in Oklahoma city and cant find anyone. Thanks a lot
Anyone worked for Career Builder in Sales? Hi everyone, I have a job interview with Careerbuilder tomorrow in Chicago. I would like to hear from anyone that has worked there before. How was the work enviroment, did they give you the right tools to sell? If I get the job and I take it, it means moving all the way from PA to Chicago. I'm trying to find work in Chicago so I can move back home.
need help with the resume title for career builder? I recently completed my bachelor degree in Interior Design. Since I don't have any experience in the field I'm not sure what to write in the resume title: 1) entry-level interior designer, or 2) seeking entry-level position in interior design. What do you think? thanks!!
Was anyone else appalled by the Career Builder ad with the chimp? I just saw, for the second time, an ad for Career Builder which shows a man in a public bathroom going pee and a chimp is going beside him and chattering away to him. It makes no sense and is the worse unprofessional ad I've seen. Don't the people from Career Builder know how bad the ad is or do you think they just don't give a darn?
Career Builder/Monster.Com? Has anyone here ever landed a good job using Career Builder of Monster.com? I am curious to use these sites but I have never actually heard of anyone actually getting a good job from either. Or they seem to just apply for months and months and nothing ever comes of it. I would be curious to know if anyone ever actually had a good story to tell about either.
Career builder/resume question? I just applied for a job via Careerbuilder.com...I uploaded by cover letter and resume and sent it to the employer. Prior to this, I did not have my resume uploaded on the website at the time. When i sent my resume, it uploaded onto the website but the word.doc of my resume but the formatting was way off. It does NOT look like this in word. Is the copy that shows on career builder the one that the employer will see for the job that I applied to??? Or will it be e-mailed to them the way it actually looks in my word.doc. I'm realy worried-- not sure how to fix this.

I have driven a truck for the last several years, what career move should I make? I am 42, I have Management experience in Restaurant and Retail fields. I have sales experience in the beverage and insurance fields. (hated the cold calling). I also have limited experience with quickbooks doing payroll and a little bit of data entry. I sell sports clothing and items on ebay for just a little extra cash, nothing major. I have a large family and not much (nothing really) put away in the way of savings, so whatever move I make it needs to pay off right away. I search monster, yahoo jobs, and career builder every chance I get, I am employed I just want a stable job with regular hours and pay. I need at least 45K a year, more would be nice obviously. I am in the North Houston area and do not want to relocate. Just looking for serious suggestions, thanks! I only have a little bit of college, 10 hours or so completed. (20+ yrs ago)

what is this stupid SystemDoctor2006 page that keeps ruining my career builder viewing?!?!? I am looking through careerbuilder, and all I do is click next page to see more jobs, and this small error bar pops up and the buttons to click are ok and cancel, I click the red X to close it period, and it takes me to the systemdoctor web page and it tries to install the program, my popup blocker stops it. Why does it do this?!? It's really annoying and I'm startin to get pretty pissed with careerbuilder about it. It happens about once a day, sometimes twice, sometimes not.

Have anyone here found a job using Monster or Career Builder? I read an article in the Wall Street Journal, and the rate of success finding a job with this companies is less than 5 %. Craiglist.org has a better rate. I am looking for a job, and I have gotten some interviews with jobs posted on Craiglist. Can somebody said something about their experience with these two job boards? Thanks
does anyone know of any career options for a health administration major/ information technology minor? I will graduate with a Bachelor's of Science from Penn State. I was thinking I could be a data analyst but i'm not sure if that's feasible? if not, what other high paying entry level, it related jobs do you think I could qualify for. My career advisor and academic advisor were not of any help (both told me to look up monster, career builder, ect-- and those sites were unhelpful!) Thank you in advance for those who legitimately try to answer my question.
I need some serious Career Advice, esp. if you are a career expert, and even if you are not - help me out.? I have kind of wasted years in Health care school and now I have a degree in "Bachelor in Health Care Sciences" - YES i don't even know what to do with this degree. Well, how i ended up with this degree is a WHOLE DIFF. STORY. FOR NOW ... I want to know weather I can use this degree to get a job in Health care / Research labs / Financial Sectors / any other field ?
