What is the best online Mortgage Brokerage Firm or Correspondent Lender to join as a new business career? I plan to start a career as a loan officer and want to do business primarily on the internet, from home, as well as get the training on-line and/or by phone. I'm thinking about joining either Apex Lending or Premier Mortgage. Trancontinental Lending Group is also an option. Anyone have feedback regarding these companies? Regards to Internet Addiction? Appreciate all the responses to my internet addiction question. As I said, it's been good therapy. As I mentioned, I don't like going out to bars to meet friends or perspective dates, but would like to find a chat group to talk with. Where do I go to in order to do this? Having successfully become our personal librarian, Google now wants to be our personal oracle. It wants to learn all about us, know us better than we know ourselves, to transform itself from a search engine into a psychoanalyst's couch or a priest's confessional. Google's search engine is the best place to learn what Google wants. Type "Eric Schmidt London May 22" into Google, and you can read about a May interview the Google chief executive gave to journalists in London. Here is how he described what he hoped the search engine would look like in five years: "The goal is to enable Google users to be able to ask the question such as 'What shall I do tomorrow?' And 'What job shall I take?' " Schmidt's goal is not inconsiderable: By 2012, he wants Google to be able to tell all of us what we want. This technology, what Google co-founder Larry Page calls the "perfect search engine," might not only replace our shrinks but also all those marketing professionals whose livelihoods are based on predicting — or guessing — consumer desires. Schmidt acknowledges that Google is still far from this goal. As he told the London journalists: "We cannot even answer the most basic questions because we don't know enough about you. Career advice please....? Im 20 yrs old and have a high school edu. in drafting. Somehow I got a job out of high school for a contractor. It's a small business & i am the only drafter. I've been working here about 1.5yrs. I make $12/hr & have full employer paid benefits. i dont enjoy the work very much & find myself playing on the internet VERY OFTEN. My parents own 2 petstores which i worked at in high school. the plan was they would give me my own store when i graduated but it didnt happen because of the drafting job Ide really like to run the petstore. I think Ide enjoy it more. I'll make about the same money but working 20 hours more/week I am torn between the 2 jobs. I really want to get out of an office. I hate sitting in an office for 8 hours/day w/o anyone to talk to. it drives me crazy. but i'm afraid to leave the job security & benefits. I am afraid that I will ruin my life if i leave this job. but i am only 20. Buying a computer for a career change? I am looking for advice on buying a new computer. I am currently a technical writer, but I am enrolled in masters degree program for math teaching. I have a Dell laptop that I use from work, and a slowly dying Insignia desktop for personal use. When I bought the desktop two years ago, I spent about $500 because all I needed it for was email, the internet, and the basics. Now I am considering buying a machine that can handle Mathematica and LaTeX, and eventually I'm hoping to work with Adobe InDesign or a similar package. I plan to continue to use my writing skills while developing my math and programming knowledge. I like the work of Edward Tufte and may try to learn some of his techniques. I am just looking for a starting point. I don't know whether to lean towards a desktop or laptop. Many people (including Tufte) have suggested that I buy a Mac. I don't have a budget for the new machine yet, so I'd like to know what I should consider and what it may cost.

Jobs with a finance degree??? I am very interested in a career in either financial analysis or financial planning. I've read plenty of stuff on the internet, but I'm still kind of fuzzy on what each of these jobs really is. Are medical billing courses worth the cost? I am planning on enrolling in traditional classroom (not internet) classes for medical billing/transcription. Macbook vs Macbook Pro with Photoshop? Okay, I know there are many many questions saying "Macbook vs Macbook Pro" but I keep reading answers that contradict each other. Also, a lot of those questions are older and I believe there are newer Macbooks and Macbook Pros out right now with higher minimum specs, so I will ask again. I am going to be a senior in high school and am thinking of purcahsing a MB or a MBP. I'm planning to go into graphic/web design as a career. I've read about the graphics card you get with the MBP but I don't know if that is mainly for gaming or if it would help immensely in Photoshop too, esp. considering the regular MB specs have gone up since the original releases. (I think. Can someone verify this?) I would likely do very little gaming on the laptop. Mostly I would be using it for Photoshop, general internet, schoolwork, website work, and watching movies/videos. Also, I have a 'free' version of Photoshop on my PC right now. I dont say women should be silent but i was just married and it was a big transition for a traditional girl to know and do things at once. Anyways, for a long time, it was somewhere in the mind. It took a while to get over my fears about pain also (not completely though). But, I should say we both were career oriented and our frequency was very less. So this was almost after an year. Then, we had issues where sometimes he wont be able to do it. Though I was patient, i remember once when i showed off my impatience on him that i shouldnt have as it can affect more. actually may be i was reason too as i sometimes shouted him during quarrels (he is very soft spoken and cant see someone hurt.) ..and i have a better career..Some days when we thought it is almost successful, it is never released inside vagina even after an hour. it takes almost an hour. He consulted physician sometime back who told he has no issues. Now my problem is it is almost3 years now andthere is a lot of pressure from parents for children etc., they are thinking we are not planning. we never had successful ending atleast once so how can egg fertilizaion happen? I have other problems that my periods are irregular due to which i think we need more time to try and consume, but problem is we are not even participating in form of sex necessary to reproduce. I have some questions that i cant ask anyone else: - i am very curious to know how is it usually in other Indian married couples. do both of them have complete knowledge before? does guy take care of everything initially? - our frequency was always less (initially, once in a month..now once in 2-3 months if we are busy always working ] how come other couples say twice in a week etc., though they are busy ..is something missing in our relationship..i sometimes feel my husband has low drive as even initially he was not approaching often..or he is very good person that he did not want to disturb me during my job search and my fear of pain etc., and then it continued with our demanding careers.. - we never had successful phase of sex life that worries me.. - we both hug each other while sleeping whole night..can this be reason for not so motivated to touch each other..dont other couples hold each other often? - if someone else is in the house (guest (friend) in a 2 bedroom apt) we never think of doing it (happened for 5 months when we never tried)..can others do it? - we lost our important initial phaseof marriage.we may not have so much attraction again..so can our frequency get any better now? i want to wait for few more months before we see therapist..but i am hoping this query would relieve me and would help me in getting some valuable advices. can you also help me with answers to above questions that i am curious about. But then Allan Leighton, chairman of the Royal Mail and one of Britain's best connected businessmen, likes to style himself as a man of the people with a dash of Mr Motivator thrown in. Urging his 167,000 workforce not to embark on Britain's first national post strike in more than a decade, the 54-year-old told them: 'You know me. I don't do bullshit.' The intention was to warn his employees, famously prone to wildcat action, against launching a series of strikes. It failed. Leighton built his career on motivating thousands of disgruntled supermarket employees he called 'colleagues'. Together they turned Asda from a backwater into a powerhouse supermarket. But life has not gone so smoothly since. Leighton chaired a number of companies that have faced problems. But none like Royal Mail. Strike action received overwhelming backing throughout the network three weeks ago. It began 10 days ago. Last week, the Communication Workers Union extended action by another two weeks, paralysing businesses and inconveniencing the public. Talks between the parties have just started at Acas, the arbitration service. At stake is Leighton's personal reputation; but more important is the future of an institution that is part of the fabric of British society. As it teeters under the weight of a £6bn pension shortfall and haemorrhages lucrative business customers - last month Amazon, the internet business, pulled its parcel contract - questions are now being asked whether the Royal Mail will, in future, be capable of fulfilling its obligation to guarantee deliveries to every household in Britain. Then there is the future of the post office network itself. Next year the government wants Royal Mail group to close 2,500 underperforming post offices in a move that will spark furious protests from communities and could seriously damage the government. Before that, Leighton and his chief executive, Adam Crozier, the former Football Association boss, have to resolve a dispute that shows every sign of escalating into a war of attrition. For the CWU though, this dispute is not just about a below-inflation 2.5 per cent pay deal plus a possible £800 bonus for hitting performance targets. Dave Ward, a former postman marshalling the dispute as deputy general secretary of the CWU, says it is about the philosophical direction of an organisation where he has worked since he left school in Tooting, south London, 35 years ago. Ward has seen the business used as a cash cow by repeated governments who have raided Royal Mail profits to pay for other priorities. Starved of investment, it briefly plunged into the red a few years ago, but now it is making money. Ward wants back money sucked out of the business to pay for modernisation and to enable workers on an average wage of £323 a week to get more. The message is falling on deaf ears. Leighton and Crozier say that employees at rival post firms who use modern automation systems are paid 25 per cent less and are 40 per cent more productive. The workforce take this statement as an insult. Morale is low. When the Royal Mail asks for voluntary redundancy, bosses are trampled in the rush. Faith and trust have broken down. Ward believes Leighton and Crozier accepted government-imposed competition rules that will condemn the service to commercial suicide. He wants so-called access agreements to private companies using the postal service to be rewritten. Both sides are digging in as the government buries its head in the sand, concerned not to step into the row and be seen as protectionist. Pat McFadden, enterprise minister at the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform - formerly the DTI - says: 'It is really for the company and the union to resolve this dispute. We are in touch with both sides but it is for them to sit down together and reach a resolution. We are not setting any kind of timetable.' Adam Crozier, 43, is the calculating, smart operator to Leighton's 'bish, bash bosh' diplomacy. While Leighton does the bold big picture, it is Crozier who is the power behind the Royal Mail. Their big idea was to give postal workers a stake in the company by turning the group into a John Lewis-style partnership. If the workers had shares in the business they would receive yearly bonuses based on profit. Industrial relations would be improved at a stroke. There was one problem: the government, the Royal Mail's only shareholder, didn't buy the idea. More blows followed. The postal regulator has rejected his request for zonal pricing, which would have seen letters posted to and from London charged at different rates to the rest of the country. And Europe is insisting the Royal Mail pays VAT, in a move that could destroy its finances. Royal Mail has postponed the publication of its accounts, due in May. The suspicion is that there is embarrassment at the scale of bonuses Leighton and Crozier will scoop. The strange thing is that the combatants in the current dispute appear to respect each other. Crozier knows the union believes it has a viable plan for the future- it is just that he thinks the government has no intention of adopting it. The CWU is pinning its hopes on a government manifesto commitment to review the impact of competition in the postal service in this parliament. If the review said that competition harmed service standards to business and the public, pressure would build to return the service to its old protected status. But that is unlikely. The future looks to be a maelstrom of more industrial unrest over pay, massive job cuts and changing work practices. For the CWU, job cuts mean questions over its own future. Fewer jobs mean fewer members. Like a cornered animal the CWU is becoming more aggressive. And worryingly for the government, it is not alone. Unions representing the civil and health service this weekend said they were preparing to co-ordinate industrial action with the CWU as they reject below-inflation pay deals in the public sector of 2 per cent. I absolutely love everything about him except how he handles money. About a year ago we laid everything out on the line about our future. One of the things we discussed was money. It turns out that he was about $20,000 in debt (credit card) which shocked the heck out of me! He owns his own condo and has a roommate. His roomate gives him $400 for rent ( believe his mortgage is $1200) his roommate does not pay him utilities (which I think would help big time!- he's too afraid to ask now because he has lived with him for 3 years and he's afraid he might altogether move out. The $400 a month really helps.) My concern is that I truly do see a great future with him. I am in no position to move in or get married just yet. I would like to start/finish grad school. I hope to start school next fall and the program is 2 years long-very intense and you cannot work. If I cannot work I obviously can't contribute financially to a marraige- so I plan on waiting to advance our relationship further until I am finished with school. I realize that he has plenty of time to change. His consolidated his credit card and is really trying to save money (though he hasn't). With his work schedule he cannot go back to school and persue another career at this time. He has too much to pay for. Can someone give me a quote on how much I would be looking to spend monthly? I have one semester left in my college career appart from my internship. I called a place to get some information on it and they pretty much offered my a job over the phone. The salary isn't great (probably like $25,000 a year), but in my field it's not always easy to find a regular salary at all and the job is something I would really like to do, so I am planning on taking it. The problem is they do not have on site housing and there is almost nothing to rent in the area except a couple of trailers about 30 minutes away for $425/month plus utilities. I have only ever lived with my parents and in college housing and so don't really know if I'll be able to afford it. I would have car insurance, gas, electric, water, cell phone, telephone, a horse (likely with free or significantly reduced board so just vet and farrier-and selling him is not an option as he's relavent to my job), most likely cable and internet, groceries, and possibly health and dental insurance. I don't know what the benefits are yet so I might not have to buy health insurance, but I am going to need it. Also, 6 months from May I am going to have college loans to pay off. Am I going to be able to afford living in one of those rentals? I'm not opposed to a roommate but I don't know anyone in the area. Iike I said, I'm not selling my horse. I will be the program director for a lesson and therapy program that uses their horses to help kids who have been abused and neglected. Their horses are all beginner horses who have probaly never been ridden by a good rider in their lives and my horse competed nationally and was sired by an olympic champion, so if I am going to be able to help the program have at least some level of quality, my horse is the one who is going to help me stay accurate and ride well, where as beginner horses will tollerate almost anything. Terrible Family Situation? My friend is having these problems, and I can never find myself to say something right. Her little brother is in the hospital, he had open heart surgey this past week, isn't working out to well. Her father is emailing and talking w/ another women he met over the internet. Her mom does nothing, sits at home, uses up money for personal projects that she says fulfill her life. She doesn't clean, do bills, or anything. She doesnt know her husband is talking to this women, they do not sleep in the same room. He has a career, and she sits at home everyday, for this week tho she has been at the hospital with their son. My friends dad has only told her about the women, for some reason he trusts her and not her mother or her sister, he also plans on kicking her mother out of the house after their son is better so he can marry the other women. My friend knows her dad is wrong for cheating on her mom, and that her mom is wrong for being a bad mother, is there anything she can do? I'm asking what my friend can do, not her mother. She has terrible problems, this happened to her mother to, got a divorce from a cheating husband. Yes her mother has always been this way, she has OCD and major depression that she has pills for. My friend to takes the same pills as her mother, although she is usually a very happy person and I like her more without her pills. But when we do get talking about these things, both of us just don't know what she can do. They have 2 daughters, a freshman in hs and a sophomore in hs, the sophomore is my friend, and the boy is 6. The mother will not change, probably not even if she was told, she does not know, but sometimes I think she might know he does not love her anymore. The other women her dad talks to is also married, but they both tell each other they are in love. I agree with some of you that none of them are really willing to speak up because of the boys health status, but up until this surgery was the correct time to get counselling, the boy is done with surgery, and once he is back at home (1 week or so), the father plans to kick the mother out.

Are there jobs for Veterinary Technicians in Israel? I am planning to go through a program to be licensed as a veterinary techinican. This is similar to becoming a licensed nurse for animals. I am also planning on moving to Israel in about five years. I want to work with animals as it has been my life's dream, but am finding it difficult to research available jobs in Israel on the internet to be sure my degree will be useful. Ideas about the future? Today I sat with my general manager at Chili's, who is regarded as a very big deal in the corporation, being the head chili's training manager, store opener, etc. We talked about everything about Chili's, especially me becoming a manager. I'm a 22 yr old college student finishing a business degree, about to embark on the world. He really want to start developing me into the lifestyle of being a restaurant manager. A part of me likes the opportunity, loves the potential pay (47K starting off, very good compared to most locals), I love the concept, and the culinary part. A person told me I should do what I love. Well, frankly, the thing I love to do is learn, via the internet. I spend countless hours scouring through google, youtube, wiki, cnn, etc... Can someone help me with some direction and foresight, as in some careers that have the above mentioned criteria, or should I jump into the rest. management opportunity? Should I just try things and say hell with it, or have a plan??

Should I ask a fellow band member to be my girlfriend? Hi, I am 16 years old, male. I am the drummer, keyboardist, and song writer for a symphonic metal band. I really want to ask out the singer in my band, and I know for sure she likes me too. But, I am not sure if I should, because our relationship might interfere with the band, and there would also be the chance that if we break up,God forbid, it might ruin the band. We are both shooting for musical careers and are working really hard on it. She is the best singer ever in my opinion, and we have very high hopes for this band. It is driving me nuts, and i get a feeling in my stomache every time I think about her, which is pretty much always.We plan on music being our future and are going to be working together to get there...and it would suck to have a relationship ruin that...but on the other hand... What do you think of this situation? Recently my bf and I had an argument (we've been dating exclusive for 6 months) because he never makes plans in advance, is never intimate with me, good sex, but no intimacy, he rarely calls me, prefers text messages & internet communication, etc..Spends most of his time working on his car or with his friends,etc...He has never said he loves me, we never talk about the future, I'm his first relationship in 5 years..what do you think of this? Please be honest. I've never dated a guy like this before..most guys fall head overheels for me and I dunno what to do or how to take this! He's quiet, not very sociable, etc...He's 28 and I'm 33..we're both in our careers and moderately successful..HELP..need advice..should I stay or go?

anyone? :(? First of all , may I say thank you to anyone who reads this until the end. Its a big factor in my life at the minute and I really feel like I need advice from people who do not know e emotionally. I have no idea where to start so I will just type. All through school I got top grades, I came out with 5A's and 6 B's at GCSE. I always knew what I wanted to do with my life; that was something within the medical profession and nursing seemed the right thing for me, so at age 14, my life was all planned out. I would stay on and do my A Levels, then go and get my nursing degree. Or maybe not, I became depressed at aged 12, but now I was 15 it was a lot worse. I had to see psychochologists. I gave up on everything I ever enjoyed in life, all of a sudden I was no longer a member of youth clubs, and the choir, I gave up drum lessons, I wouldnt go out with friends, and things prety much stayed that way. I tried at my A levels at college, give up. Went back to school to try, gave up, Went back one more time, gave up again. So there I was , 17 years old, with fantastic GCSE's, no A Levels, and still a big drea of being a nurse. I decided to give A Levels one more attempt but was turned away. During that summer I lost 5 stone, and went down to 8 stone. Speaking to a careers adviser I discovered there was another route into nursing, a diploma, which only required good GCSE results.`So I applied and got accepted and everything was fine until 6 months into the course, I had put on 2 stone, lost confidence and quit. There was my dream gone, again. 6 months later after putting on another 2 stone I tried again, and quit again after only 5 months. Tried a third time, guess what? you guessed it, I quit again. Everytime I quit , I gave the excuse "nursing wasnt for me", but its only these days I can admit that was no where near the truthful reason. The reason I quit was because I had no confidence and no self esteem. So after all this quitting i put on more weight. Then in my eyes I went crazy, being told I should be admitted into hospital by a doctor but only refusing this. Depressed wasnt the word. Dead was more like it. No personality anymore, my life was in one room, and the internet was the only thing I had. A bit of therapy seemed to work for a while, and then I spotted a job in a laboratory as a medical laboratory assistant. "oooo that sounds interesting, looking down microscopes" hmmmmm. not so accurate. But anyway, I got that job, being chosen out of 75 people that applied. I have been there 2 months. And guess what? Yes , I want to quit. But it feels different this time, its got nothing to do with confidence, its simply because I hate it. Its not soething I want to do with the rest of my life. I have been off "sick" for 4 weeks, I was actually sick for a few of the, but now Im feeling too down to go back, and the thought of going back depresses and stresses me out that much that I have come out in a rash, I have vomitted, I have had 2 panick attacks. There are so many reasons why I dont want to go back - I hate the job and I miss nursing too much - My boss is not happy at all with me because I failed to meet the sickness policy because I never sent in sick notes or kept them informed. - It depresses me so much and i literally cry on the way to work because I dont like the things I have to do. My job is to throw out old specimens which range from a piece of skin, to an organ, to a limb!, I have to drain off the chemical they are in, then fill up a bucket of specimens. Its disgusting, sometimes its even a colon full of ****! When im not doing this, im labelling. How exciting. Nothing, NOTHING in my job even comes close to how interesting nursing was. What im writing this for is because I need to read it myself a few times to see if I can make sense of what I want to do with my life. Why do I keep quitting? If I went into nursing now would I quit again? I cannot express the feeling I feel right now because I have to go into work tomorrow, I cant imagine how I am going to feel in the morning. Should work make me feel like that? Is life too short to fee like that? or Is it just a fact of life that I have to work no matter if it makes me feel so bad. This post doesnt feel like it has a purpose, it feels like I have just let my head and heart type. But if anyone can see any sense or any direction, advice, opinions in any of it then please help, and please be as blunt as you can possibly be. Should I work tomorrow? OR should I apply one more time for the thing I have always wanted to do?
