What exactly is residency(on-the-job training) for health care careers? A lot of job info sites say that for almost all medical related careers require "residency" or on-the-job training. I'm assuming this is an internship. Is this usually paid? They say that it requires several years of it.
Health care career question? Can you get a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography(ultrashound tech)? Around here there are places like Sanford Brown, and its too expensive and dosnt offer certification at the end of training. The other option that I have found is an associate degree program at the community college which takes two years but the problem with that is i already have some college done, and Im wanting to keep going. I really dont want to start all over. Someday I would like to become a doctor or pharmacist...im just exploring my options right now!
Home health care career? If you are in this line of work,do you enjoy it? How much do you earn? Where can I get training-where do I start? Thanks ...
Health care question...what career matches up with these interests? I have always been very interested in health care, and I'm currently working as a hospital social worker in an inpatient unit. There are two areas of health care that I'm passionately interested in. The first is medical ethics. For example, my hospital will sometimes have cases where we need to have team consultations where we discuss a complicated case from multiple perspectives (e.g. legal, medical, familial, etc.). I find these types of cases fascinating, but don't know if there's a good career match for this interest apart from law (which I don't want to pursue). My second interest is working to make health care delivery more efficient. I am fascinated by the inefficiency of the current system in many areas (reimbursement, documentation, pricing structure, etc.). Once again, I'm not sure what type of job or training one would need to have to focus on these issues.
Thinking about going to back to school in the health care/medical field? I am thinking about going back to school in the fall to begin training for a new career in the medical/healthcare field. Can anyone please give me some info on different options (nurse, x-ray tech, mri tech, etc, etc, etc) and what they involve and what they pay? I am not sure exactly what field I would like to get into and what is involved with each field. I am also wondering what has the best job outlook and what pay scale to expect for different things. Thanks!
I (a female) want to work in a male dominated career. Any suggestions.? I am 40 years old, female and sick and tired of working with a bunch of women in my current health care job. Please sugguest a career I can train for in 2 years or less that pays decent money. I am good with technical stuff.
Navy Supply or AF Health Care Admin.? I recently finished an MBA program and have been directed to the navy supply corp and air force health care admin roles by the respective recruiters. My question is which branch and job would be the most conducive for a decent family life, as well as provide training and experience for a decent career after the military? Thank you for your help!
Obama Health Care: Students/Health Professionals? As a Pre-PA student who is looking to eventually work in the medical field, I've got a few questions for people training to be heath professionals and current health professionals. 1.) How does Obama's plan for nationlized health care affect you as a health professional or health profession student? 2.) Will you still continue your education/career if drastic salary cuts were made to your job to better marginalize the cost of health care? 3.) Do you feel that with the growing number of "Dr." titles (DNPs, DPTs, etc) enable health professionals to ask for a higher salary? How would they react under a government-reimbursment style medical system when they're salaries are regulated and have a glass ceiling? 4.) Do you feel frustrated or irritated when others accuse medical professionals of greed simply because they draw a large salary for an important and difficult job? I'm interested to hear how others feel about these issues!
Does software QA training require IT background? I am in a health care related field, and want to change my career. My friend suggests that I should try software QA. Does QA training require extensive IT background? Is it enough to do a QA course?
Can anyone give me advise of a respectable career that I can do preferrably from home? that doesn't require more than 2 yrs training, that I can get trained online for? I have already thought of medical transcriptionist. it's not neccessary to be an at-home job. I do have experince in the health care field as a Pharmacy Tech. for 5 yrs.
Should I go into the Air Force as a health administrative officer? Does anyone have insight into this field? I have been working in the civilian world for almost 15 years. At the age of 30, I feel as if I should try something different. Being an information technologist, work seems mundane and typical. In response to this environment, I decided to pursue a Master's in Management. Once completed the doors begin opening. My undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice really didn't provide the best paying jobs. So after taking some career assessment exams, I found that health care would be ideal. Matching that with administration/management makes a lot of sense. A recruiter told me it is a hot field in the civilian world. It would be a great opportunity within the military to get the training and experience. Who knows, maybe I could retire from the Air Force. Does this position in the air force place workers in hostile situations? What are the chances of getting hurt? Could someone please shed light on this subject....

Are there any psychiatrists/psychologists I can do a brief online interview with? I need to do a 10 question interview with either a psychiatrist, psychologist or even a school counselor for a research paper on this type of career. If you happen to be a psychiatrist/psychologist/counselor, please tell me your credentials and answer the following questions: What made you choose this career? What kind of training did you have to go through? How many years did you spend in college/training? How long have you had this career? Does this job put additional emotional or mental strain on you? What employability strengths and skills are needed? What are the drawbacks of working in this field? Do you get any kind of benefits like health care? A retirement plan? What type of job stress is there? Describe an average day. The questions are straight forward and shouldn't be too time consuming. I would greatly appreciate a serious response. Thank you for your time. If you are not in a position to answer these questions, please refrain from unnecessary comments.
Joining Navy or Air force? Answer only if you have/do serve!? I am a college graduate, who just earned his masters degree this summer. It is a health related degree, actually it is exercise physiology. I have been working in a clinical setting as well as health prevention setting of almost two years. I have a burning desire to leave it behind to join the service. Why? I like health care and health prevention alot, but I cannot see myself going anywhere with it without more challenging training. I would love to persue a health career, wether it be physical therapy, nursing or even aerospace physiologist (my top choice). Which branch out of the two navy or airforce offers more training and options for these careers. Can anyone tell me more about it, before I see my recuiter later this week. Please keep responses sincere. I am very highly considering this. Respond only if you serve/severed in the Navy or Airforce. Please no Navy jokes--->Army Folks.
Dental Hygiene as a second career? I'm just wondering if there is anybody who has trained to become a dental hygienist as a second career and what it was like for them. I am 37 and I already have a B.S. in business - I know totally unrelated to health care - but I've always been interested in biology. I also crave a real career, which I currently do not have.
What kinds of occupational complaints do service workers have?Would unionization may be able to help resolve s Is there any reason why a "new collar" worker would not want the same benefits and clout that "blue collar" workers were able to get by unionizing? What might be some of the reasons why a "new collar" worker would be hesitant to join a union? What do you feel are the future prospects of unions in the service industry? Why? Unions now represent only 13.2 percent of the labor force (called "blue collar" workers). If the figure goes much lower, unions may become irrelevant as a force in business. The answer, many union organizers believe, is to now organize service workers (clerical workers, insurance agents, nurses, teachers, mental health aides, computer technicians, loan officers, auditors, and salespeople). It is expected that most of the future job growth in the United States will be in service businesses. The question is whether or not unions will be able to win over service workers (also called "new collar" workers). There are some 20 million such workers, more than the AFL-CIO’s current 13 million members. To reach these workers, labor unions have to broaden their traditional bread and butter (money) appeals to include quality-of-work concerns such as career development, professional autonomy, and dealing with technological change. Thus unions may push issues such as pay equity, career ladders, child care, job training, and stress management. Workers will also have to be won over by successful union marketing. Most service workers are not very familiar with unions, and there is some resistance to union organizing. Nonetheless, unions have made some progress. A recent survey found a growing discontent among non-union workers over pay and job-advancement opportunities. More than 75 percent feel that unions generally improve pay and working conditions. The survey indicated that 53 percent of non-union service workers would react favorably to having union representation. Some unions that have had success recruiting service workers include the Service Employees Union, the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees Union, and the National Union of Hospital and Health Care Employees. One union that is doing a particularly good job of listening to employee needs and adjusting to them is AFSCME, the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees. The union’s campaign emphasized issues such as workplace dignity and safety, pay equity, and career development. One worker who joined has a complaint that many new computer workers have. She keys information from tax forms into computers, and her work is monitored to see if she meets daily goals. If not, she receives warnings. This management style is greatly resented by some workers.
Obama Healthcare: Health Professionals/Health Profession Students? As a Pre-PA student who is looking to eventually work in the medical field, I've got a few questions for people training to be heath professionals and current health professionals. (When I asked this in the poltical section all I got was blind rhetoric, hope yall answer better!) 1.) How does Obama's plan for nationlized health care affect you as a health professional or health profession student? 2.) Will you still continue your education/career if drastic salary cuts were made to your job to better marginalize the cost of health care? 3.) what should a 26 year old medical assistant do begin truck driver training or stay in the medical field ? i need to know which career shows the most promise in terms of finance and health care benefits
Career / Continuing Education Advice Please? Hello all and thanks in advance for your answers. I am currently working at the corporate office for a large health care company as a physical security professional. My main job function is the complete operation of the company’s physical access control system and alarm systems for the home office as well as numerous remote locations and subsidiaries across the nation. A majority of my work experience is in the physical security industry and any knowledge of access control systems or alarm systems has been picked up by looking over vendor’s shoulders and limited onsite training by vendor staff. I am not unfamiliar with computers, picking up some knowledge here and there, but I know enough to know that I don't know enough. In a field where “convergence” seems to be the word of the day and security systems are getting more technically advanced, my goal would be to improve my knowledge of the IT industry and how it relates to physical security systems in order to advance my career. The only problem is I am not really sure where to begin with selecting classes, certifications, or tech schools vs. college. I would like to specifically focus on IP related topics, networking, SQL, database maintenance, IT security, and anything I might be missing (if anyone has any suggestions). As I said I know enough to know I don’t know enough. Most of my focuses are words or situations that have arisen as I have been working but I could not tell you what most of them mean or how they work, I know they just do and if not I call the helpdesk or vendor. I would also like to obtain more knowledge pertaining to the installation of security systems though this is probably more of an electrical industry topic but it also includes database construction. I do have a limited schedule so I am basically looking at just taking classes specific to my job function vs. obtaining a degree but would like to eventually earn some form of IT degree. If anyone out there has any knowledge of security systems or advice over what classes I should look into taking I would greatly appreciate your feedback. Thanks
Is it possible to become a medical assistant w/o the training class? I know these career schools crank out MA's like nobody's business, but I am wondering if it would be possible to be hired as an MA just with on the job training. I have a BA degree in another area that I am not using, have a CNA certificate, and have taken medical terminology as well as all the usual nursing pre-reqs. I am looking to advance to higher pay and a greater scope of practice, but am in a deadlock until I get accepted somewhere for nursing school. Would something else like plebotomy be a better option to combine with my CNA certificate for my temporary career? What if I took free computer certification courses at work to learn various microsoft applications? Other thoughts? **Pay no attention to that TC badge, I actually know very little about health-care, but answer unpopular questions. When you are the only answerer, of course you will get best answer for that question.

Im currently in home health sales and marketing and its not my cup of tea. I have been in the military,I have a BA in sports management, medical experience, social service experience, customer service experience and quite a bit of other experience, but i just cant seem to commit to a subject in grad school or an area i want to work in. i do know that i want to be in a leadership position that is of importance. what does it take to get certified as a cna as far as time and money? I am thinking of changing careers and am very interested in health care. I attended college but did not graduate, and was wondering what type of length of schools/training, money to become certified, etc. it would normally take. I know there is always a ton of people looking for CNA's, NA's, RN's, LVN's etc.
How do I get into a different career or job? I was rejected to train as a paramedic and now i've lost all confidence and direction in what I want to do in life. I have Maths, Science and English GCSE, Biology AS Level and a Health & Social Care A Level. I would like a job in Healthcare or IT I think but have no experience (I've only worked in retail and call centres) Are there any similar jobs or good career prospects available to me without going to university or studying further? I would have liked to reapply to train as a paramedic but I lack a reference for university (Cant go back to teachers) & I think my statement would highlight the lack of direction that I now have.... Help, any suggestions are welcome

this is for chris scorza hahaha? SHOULD YOU GO INTO PHARMACY Pharmacists work with drugs and medicines and advise people on proper use of drugs. They work in clean. Well-lighted areas that resemble small labs. They spend a lot of time on their feet and must pay close attention when filling prescriptions. Some of them research: other work only part time. Most towns have at least one pharmacy. Many pharmacists own their own pharmacies and thus must have good sense of business. Honesty and the ability to win the confidence of people necessary characteristics and are valuable to any who select this career. People will put their health need your care. A license to practice pharmacy is needed in every state. In order to get this, you must have a degree in pharmacy, pass a state board examination, and serve an internship under a licensed pharmacist. Five years are needed to get a bachelor’s degree, which is the basic requirement for a job in the field. Most collages or pharmacy require one or two years of pre-pharmacy training in a junior college or a four year college. Math and basic science such as chemistry, biology and physics are included in training. If you are good in these in these subjects, pharmacy may be the field for you. Besides mixing and dispensing machines, a pharmacist may have other duties. Some buy and sell supplies and goods, hire and supervise other who work in the firm, and keep various records. Those who go into business on their own should be ready to assume all of the responsibilities for operating the company. Many pharmacies are open in the evening and on the evenings and on weekends, so self-employed persons often work more hours than those in salaried jobs. There is a trend toward working fewer hours: these may lead to hireling more pharmacist. If you know what kind of job you want, it is certainly possible to shop around and find just what you were looking for- on that fits your particular needs. The work of a pharmacist is crucial for good health care. Some of those who can train to be pharmacists go into related work areas. They may work on sales for drug companies, teach in collages of pharmacy, or work in research. In industry, they may have a chance to move into management level jobs or into other areas. Those who are employed by chain drugstores have a chance to advance to managerial or even to executive positions as they get experience and knowledge. Whatever the type of job a pharmacist may choose, the traits of honesty, orderliness, and accuracy are important. The job market for pharmacists is expected to grow, but keen job competition may materialize in the areas where a surplus of qualified people occurs. Advances in science that make a wider range of drug products available and a raising health standard are two things that will affect the demand for pharmacists. The pay is good. For those who do consulting work in addition toe their regular jobs, the total earnings may be far above the average. Pharmacy is a rewarding career chooses with rewarding conditions and the chance to help others. The lives of many people often rest in the hands of pharmacists.
Will someone Proofread this for me? The study of the mind, psychiatry, has in the last few years struck an interest within me. I wonder why we react differently when we face the same obstacles. For example, families with several children, raised by the same parents and in the same environment, yet turn out to be completely different individuals, sometimes very disturbed. The how, why and where of it all interests me. My immediate goal is to get my diploma and find out who I really am and what my soul desire truly is. I realize I have a deep desire to be of service to others. This is not a skill however, it’s just me. I do feel one of my strongest skills is my artistic ability. I have a taste for and enjoy a diverse selection of movies, music, and reading material. I enjoy studying photography, biology, along with human behavior. Psychiatrists treat patients who have mental illnesses and help diagnose them. They strive to find solutions for their patient's mental disorders. It can and usually does, involve counseling for the patient and sometimes their family as well. Medication can be prescribed to help with chemical imbalances; some of these are caused by their emotional problems. Sometimes even shock therapy is given. It can be a take home job much of the time. Psychiatrists do a lot of side work and research to expand their knowledge. Most keep updated on the latest data and new medications available. Sometimes psychiatrists deal with life or death situations and they need to know exactly how to react. This occupation requires an extensive amount of thinking and the ability to figure out problems. It is important to be able to focus, listen and process information. They have to be able to give positive feedback and come to a decision on how to treat each patient and disease. They especially need to have the ability to feel when something is wrong or likely to go wrong, this is imperative. To be empathetic yet not allowing emotions to overwhelm decision making is necessary. They will be treating people with mild cases of anxiety as well as those who have severe mental disorders this could require years of treatment and special training to help them cope. They are also physicians who also are trained to prescribe drugs and use shock therapy plus psychotherapy. To become a psychiatrist, first requires a four year college education with a B.S.degree and to complete the pre-medical curriculum. Many students will major in a science subject such as chemistry, but that is not a requirement. Some pre-psych undergraduates will major in psychology, for example. After completing the pre-medical program and graduating from college, the student will attend a four year medical program and earn an MD degree. The student will have to pass the first two stages of the medical license exam also. This qualifies the graduate for a preliminary medical license in every state. The student will then have to apply for a medical residency in psychiatry. This is a three year program. The student will work long hours and see a vast number of patients and become familiar with all of the diagnostic categories and current treatment methods, the residencies pay a small salary, just enough to live on. After completing the residency (actually, after completing a year or two of it, depending on the state), then passing the next stage of the license exam, the doctor is now ready to obtain a medical license. Many psychiatrists will then stay on for three more years of post-residency training called a fellowship, and be admitted as 'board-certified' psychiatrists. This demonstrates the highest level of training but is not necessary to practice. This outlook is very good for employment in this field. It varies by educational background and experience. It is a career expected to grow faster than the average for this occupation through 2014. There is a wide range of employment opportunities. There is a vast shortage in rural areas. Opportunities vary from institutional settings to teaching or writing books Because of a growing population needing their services and the expansion in the health-care industry this field is wide open for advancement. Also higher incomes, increasing life spans, and educational levels are spurring the demand. . This is an occupation that is satisfying because it allows the employee to use his strongest assets and abilities. It can give them a feeling of accomplishment. They can plan or pick their own hours to a large extent, especially if they own their own practice. The average pay first year is fairly good, approximately $180,000. This depends also however, on their skills and their ability to relate to their patients in a caring, compassionate manner... Having a sensitive, caring nature could make this an even more beneficial and rewarding career. Psychiatrists lead a respected profession. It is not a 9-5 job, with weekends free. The decisions involving the mental care of their patients are a big responsibility and could be very costly and devastating if the wrong decision is made. There is also a great risk involved when giving out drugs. There is always that possibility of the wrong medication given which could bring adverse effects, sometimes even death. The world today is sue happy, so if something goes wrong they are usually blamed. This career involves many years of education, which could be very costly. I am very interested in mental health and the care and well being of .individuals that need this assistance. I see a great need for those who are capable of helping troubled souls... Many of our disturbed youth are especially in need of some sort of mental assistance. I believe this field is wide open with possibilities. I know there is a growing need to have more compassionate, skilled, well trained, highly educated, individuals, in this field However, I now realize also, after my research, which becoming a psychiatrist is a very difficult career choice. Although, I still wish to have some sort of career in the mental health field, it may be this career choice is a bit much for me, I wonder… It is very important that every comma is placed correctly. I'm a sophmore in college prep English... I will admit English is definetley one of my weaknesses. I had to make a career research report Paragraph one: Why are you interested in this career? What are your goals, skills, and interests? Para 2 Explain the chacteristics of your career and responsibilities Para 3 What skills are necessary for this career? Para 4 What education and training do you need? Para 5 Explain the outlook for employment and salary Para 6 Advantages Para 7 Disadvantages Para 8 conclucsion breif summary. I'm currently making a C in there. This is worth 200 points. I get 10 points taken off for every comma misplacement....can someone help me? Cause I know there are many errors. Thanks so much.

What careers are really in demand that makes good money that only requires a certificate or associates degree? I would like to know what careers are in demand with good pay that really doesn't require no more then a certificate or associates degree? I've been looking into health care, everyone I look there are commercial from schools saying medical careers are in demand like nurse, medical assistants, and so forth but then I read their as in demand as said, then I'm told computer careers are in demand but I'm also told there's a lot of outsourcing so please tell me what career is it good to go into that makes good money, not a lot of training or education? Thanks
Should I be a nurse? Nurses help me!? I would like advice should I become a nurse? I've been thinking about it a lot because of how the economy is in Michigan, the only careers that are available it seems is in health care, the other jobs are not secure or I would have to move. Nursing provides security, people will always need help and plus money is good which is a must for me in the future. Being a nurse isn't what I really want to be but in life sometimes you gotta choose the best for the future. I am a nice, friendly, compassionate, empathetic person which are qualities meant for nursing but I just wonder could I handle the hard work and training. I wonder if I could be successful? I know once I put myself into it, I will give my all. I just wonder if I can handle it. I hate throw up and blood but I know I will learn to deal with it. I have long nails which I know can't have in nursing and it'll hurt me to take them off but I choose a career over nails. What are the duties of nursing? What is the pay and days like? I would like to be a pediatric nurse, what is the training like?
what shall I do about work? Hi i'm not sure what to do. I left my job a few weeks ago. It was awful and making me miserable. Now though, I'm stuck. I want to retrain as a health care assistant and have an interview next week but have applied for other jobs I just don't want because I now know which direction to take my career. My fiance keeps telling me to apply for ANYTHING as I am bored at home and we now need the money. So been applying for shop work etc and temp work. But my interview is next week and I really hope I get the job, there's a few positions going and they will train me on the job. The temp jobs are all for at least 2-3 months contracts. I don't want to take something then leave them in the lurch. If I get offered next weeks job , I'd only have been a temping a week!! What shall I do?

i need a second job... but i have some questions? background: i just started my new job1.5 months ago. i'm off orentation, and the ladies who have the same job title as me/trained me say that i'm really good, i just need time to pick up on things, while other's on my floor at work think i'm horrible(for one reason or another, i really dont feel the need to list every last thing). so, since i need a second job (to be able to support myself thru school), i wanted to know: if i give my two trainers as references, will that make it okay that my boss and some other's dont have totally positive things to say about me? when they ask me why i want to work there, would it be okay to say: i want job security, i like the postive things i've heard about the the company, and i would like to look at all posible places/companys to further my career. i know i'm still new, but is it possible for me to go to an interview and get a second job? i work in the health care field, and i want to have a chance to get to the top of my field. some advice ? the other reason i'm looking at a new/second job b/c i wanted to find a better work enviroment, my job i have now is wonderful, and i know we can have all good days, but they dont want to give me time to learn what i need to know, they think i should know it all NOW. i love my job, i just want a better work place that is fair to the whole floor, not just the ones the bosses like. (my boss does play favorites, but that doesnt bother me as much, it happens, me and my boss have never truely had issues with each other) i just want job security and to pay my bills/go to school. how do i get that?
What the hell is wrong with me? I’m a 15 year old male living in England. I’ve suffered from trauma throughout my life due to my dad’s manic episodes. His last episode was his most severe one so far. It’s costed me my sanity. This is an account not a summary. I was stuck in my house for 3 months not being about to get out or talk to anybody outside. If my mom would try to call the police or mental health services my dad would threaten to slit her throat with a bread knife. He would verbally and psychologically abuse her, sometimes coming downstairs naked to get some food late at night while my mom was in the living room. He would tell her that his life full of scars and **** (his first wife died of cancer while he was in an institution, he second wife left him while he was doing a stage production overbroad during a past manic episode) When my mom first met him they fell in love, 3 years later he had another manic episode and she first discovered that he had manic-depression. 6 years after that I was born. He still had manic episodes. I remember was I was 2 I was happy until there was a time when my dad started to play loud music again and argue with my mum, I had fits of anger and rage combined with nightmares and crying. I couldn’t remember which dreams were real which were not. I really felt happy when I was a kid. I didn’t feel I was in the same world as everybody else. I was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome when I was 6. When I was 10 my dad had another big manic episode. I threatened to kill myself. I was told for the first time that my dad had manic depression. It makes sense because my dad’s family were relatives of Ernest Hemmingway who was suspected to have had manic depression. Two summers when my family went on holiday to stay with some relatives abroad, my dad had another manic episode. My mom spent the rest of the week planning for us to go home in advance. Once we got back my dad’s psychiatrist was on holiday, and when he came for an evaluation at the house my dad fooled him by appearing well and trying to make it look like my mom was the one who was crazy. He started shouting at the mental health team every time they mentioned residential care or institution. This is because in the 70s he was locked up in a psychiatric asylum and beaten by nurses while being pumped full of lithium carbonate, which dulled his mind and destroyed his acting career. This is the reason why he hasn’t taken any medication since. But he did start to take Olanzapine, which didn’t improve his episode. During the 3 months of the episode he tried to organise a concert with Paul McCartney, which he has done in every single manic episode before. My mum became crazy and I had to become the man of the house, I had fights with my dad, my dad experienced psychosis. I started to experience psychosis myself; I attempted to kill my dad. I started to make a hit list of all of the people I planed to kill at school. I planned to become a commander of my school; organising a mafia like consortium. When it came to September and I had to go back to school, my dad’s manic episode started to get better. But in order to drive me to school he had to stop taking the Olanzapine, which caused his episode to get even worse than before. He started to go back into psychosis and full blown megalomania. He believed he was a genius and started walking down the local market shouting at people and telling them that the world is corrupt and decadent. When I had to go back to school I started to hear voices. They were telling me to kill certain people in my class. They were also telling me that I am worthless and weak. The old version of me was weak and pathetic. I had to replace him the new superior superhuman version that will bring justice and security to everybody around him. Around that time after a fight with my dad I threw my fist through a glass door, causing severe injuries resulting in me being sent to hospital When I waiting in the hospital with many other people, I started to believe they were analysing AND reading my mind by looking subtle hints from my body language. I kept to places around where there weren’t many people. And if there were I would either shout at them or run away. One time two months after the trauma, I got up in the middle of the night and went downstairs to the living room. I believed that I was a Roman Emperor giving a political speech to senators of the opposition in an auditorium in Rome. It ended up with me beating the cushions crying and shouting, and my mom coming downstairs to calm me down. I stopped going to school that autumn. The voices stopped. The megalomania stopped. The flashbacks and memories of the trauma stopped. I started to isolate myself in my own room with just myself and my computer. My only connection I had to the outside world. I had to internalise myself and in my head I created the new far more powerful version of me. There were several personalities in my head: the megalomaniac, the hero, the crazy feral kid, and a few others…. The January of the next year, I was ordered a psychiatrist and a psychotherapist by the local government. The psychiatrist prescribed me Seroquel an atypical antipsychotic. I refused to take it because I didn’t want to be sedated. 3 months later I had physical aches and I started to believe I had a brain tumour. I became depressed and thought about suicide. My dad said he was overwrought of how badly the episode messed my mind up, that decided to take a chronic mood stabiliser to never let this happen again. My psychiatrist came again in May, evaluated me again and diagnosed me with depression. She prescribed me Prozac, it improved my depression, but it didn’t make me any happier. I became irritable and aggressive and started hallucinating and experienced paranoia on 20mg, it was moved down to 10mg and I started to fell better. Eventually that August I started intense weight training and running and that helped me a lot more than Prozac. Gradually I started to go outside again, and feel normal outside without getting vertigo. After that I started better being around other people. For some reason I started to experience mania and psychosis again, probably due to the Prozac, even though I hadn’t changed the dosage. The drug started to become less effective though time. I went back to school in September, even though I haven’t managed to stay there consistently, my psychiatrist hasn’t done anything about I stop going in November. Hopefully I can get back this January when school starts. Anther thing I wanna say is that my dad’s a great guy for almost all of the time, even though I argue with him sometimes and the fact that he has mood swings and short depressive episodes, he only has a manic episode every 2-4 years only in the summer. And hopefully now he’s taking meds he won’t have anther one for a while. What I’d like you guys to do is tell me what I should do right here right now, remembering that the UK has a stupid universal healthcare system. Sure it’s for everybody but that doesn’t mean its any good. I’m not psychotic, depressive or manic right now, I’m feeling normal. I’m also planning to move to America in my late teens. I don’t want you to diagnose me; I just want you to suggest what disorder/s I might have. This is very important for me; I’ve been spending a lot of time researching mental illnesses to find the right one. I’ve realised that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and that’s what I know these experiences have done for me.
Continuing Education Advice Please? Thanks
Why are the Republicans so truthful??????????????????? In 2000, Team Bush took over the Republican Party and laid out its promises to the American people. The following pledges and claims are taken directly from the 2000 GOP Platform. Working in youth work?(U.K)? Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how I can get into youth work, I worked voluntary for various youth groups from the ages of 14 to 18 but I have no real qualifications, I am 23 now and am getting ready to start a career once my child starts nursery next year, I didnt do very well at school as I had a connection in youth work and he was going to take me on and send me on some training courses but unfortunately he moved away when i was 19 so we didnt actually end up doing it. I went to college to do a GNVQ in health and social care but due to a family bereavements i didnt actually finish the course. So Im pretty much unqualified other than my 4 years expirience, though I have nothing to show for it. I gave up on wanting to do it for a few years and ended up in a dead end job but when I go back to work I want to do something worthwhile. Any tips on how I can get into it? Any ideas on any training programmes? I live in london if that helps. Thanks :-) xx

I have a paper due and I just wanted some feedback on how it sounds.? Nurses and English teachers, if you can respond also that would be great. thanx “Nursing is the essence of caring and all that it embodies”, as said by *MSN, RN, CNS. Nursing is a profession of immense responsibility. Nurses are the primary caregivers throughout the patient’s experience. They are counselors and advocates to the patient. Consequently, the connection between the nurse and patient leaves a lasting impact on both. *, MSN, RN, CNS is the director of the Huron School of Nursing. She is passionate and very determined about her work; and is dedicated to the wellness and well-being of her patients. *, MSN, RN, CNS, is an example of a sincere nurse. How do you see the roles and responsibilities of the Registered Nurse changing in practice? There is a tremendous opportunity to influence health, wellness, and people’s quality of life. Moreover, the lack of care plan developed in clinical areas and charting shows the inability to track what nursing contributed to the care outcomes. Nurses are critical in the process of helping a patient return to good health. They have a big influence on the turnaround of a person. Unfortunately, praise for their work and effort is not where it should be. Please, describe one example of an ethical dilemma you have faced in practice. * was involved in two ethical situations. One, when a patient’s family did not want a feeding tube, but the doctor believed it would be better and took the case to the Ethics Committee. Also, she experienced another encounter when an African-American male who had sickle cell anemia was going through a crisis and needed pain medication. The patient had tested positive for a drug screening leaving the nurses to believe he just wanted drugs, but, fortunately, * intervened by educating her peers on what was occurring with the young man. Within the medical field there are numerous times when an ethical dilemma comes to surface. Dealing with morals and values is an aspect in the nursing field because the answer could be appropriate or incorrect depending on whom you are dealing with and you have to consider those. How do you maintain your practice expertise? * maintains her expertise in nursing by continuously going to school, attending competency training in hospitals, hospital in-services, and at least three professional conferences a year. There is a great deal to be learned when entering into nursing. There are lives at stake and that is a great responsibility upon nurses. Therefore, knowledge is essential and life-long learning is how nurses remain current by way of conferences, in-services, and continuing classes. How do you deal with conflicts with members of the healthcare team (other nurses, physicians, etc.)? * picks and chooses her battles, but when one comes about, she confronts the members directly. She makes certain that both viewpoints are considered. She asks the questions, “Where do we go from here?” and “What is the best care for the patient?” In dealing with conflicts, you have to consider both sides. Just by looking at the situation from your point of view will never get the conflict solved because you will constantly assume that you are correct. What motivates you and rewards you in a career? * said purpose, influence, and to feel that human connection is what motivates her to be a nurse. She desires to make this world better for the next. She said that it “feeds her soul” to help someone and to influence them to go to the next step in their lives. There are periods when you feel that you cannot perform any longer and finding that willpower will become necessary. In addition, nursing is very rewarding. The ability to observe that patient get healthier, to resolve an unsolvable conflict, or to appreciate that someone is learning from you is incentive enough. The experience is priceless. As we look back, the roles of nurses have changed a great deal. There are many ethical and legal issues being that nurses are the caregivers in the hospital, so they are under scrutiny alongside doctors. Nurses have more responsibility today than ever, so they have to stay motivated in continuing their education and staying aware of their surroundings. Along with all the effort, there is a silent reward.
He would tell her that his life full of scars and shit (his first wife died of cancer while he was in an institution, he second wife left him while he was doing a stage production overbroad during a past manic episode) When my mom first met him they fell in love, 3 years later he had another manic episode and she first discovered that he had manic-depression.

What is your zodiac sign? Does any of this describe you? I am Aries, I must say I do resemble some of these remarks. I'm always bumping my head & I can relate to Hard Headed Women by Cat Stevens and I won't bring a knife to a gun fight :) ENJOY!
What is your horoscope sign...? I am a Leo. I love automated opening doors and nothing would give me more pleasure than to have Clappers applaud me when I enter a room. I must admit I am an attention seeking person. ENJOY!
