Career Training School Commercials? Hello there, why do those career training schools bombard the local TV stations with ads in the mornings and at night? I mean I know that's when people should be at work...so theoreticaly its a good time to advertise. But they must dump alot of money into their advertising campaigns because they're on every 10 minutes. Why show the same commercial so many times?! (same goes for lawyer commercials)

Would going to Heavy Equipment training School be a good career choice? Hi, I am looking for a career change. I am a 40 year old male. I have been a tree trimmer all my life. Body parts especially my knees are starting to give out. My back is also in bad shape. Its pain free for the moment but there is good potential for pain. I'm looking for someoness opinion on my heavy equipment school idea. I haven't done alot of construction work in my life and I wouldn't want to start as a bottom grunt at the age of 40. Would learning to use the heavy equipment be a good choice for me. I have done work in smaller equipment like backhoes, bobcats, lift trucks etc and I not only enjoy but I usually learn pretty quick how do to a decent job with them. Do these jobs pay well, do these jobs offer health benefits and retirement plans. Are they year round or seasonal. Is travel an option in the winter to keep up the hours. short training schools in los angeles? I have a young cousin that recently graduated high school (she was always in special needs classes), and she recently failed out of community college. Flight Schools and Pilot Career? Hey I live in the Caribbean on the island of Barbados and I want to be a Pilot someday and I want to achieve this before 30years old. Right now I am 16yrs old and I now graduated from High School and I'm thinking of going to Vaughn's College Of Aeronautics or either Dowling's College which both offer Flight Training from PPL to Commercial and also Degrees and it is gonna cost me around $33,000US which is $66,000BBS(Barbados). Can anyone tell me if these colleges are any good, Is it worth it to go there and do the degree or should I just consider Flight Training. I have a very strong passion for flight and really love this kind of stuff. How much do new pilots straight from school make on an Airliner whether International or Regional per annum? Do you need lots of maths cause i kinda suck at maths (Hate Algebra) But I'm superb with English. Would appreciate any help...Thanks.

I would love to know from all airline pilots a) how did you become an airline pilot, eg highers taken, A levels, how your career progressed. b) If you went to an airline training place like 'cabair' or 'oxford aviation' of 'flight training europe' what it was like and what are the chances of bing sponsered with an airline whilst you are there. 3) if they sponser you do they pay most of the cost, or do they like 'lend' you it untill you pay them back in future years.. etc from a unsure wannabe pilot. lol x thanks

Young, potential expatriate seeking career training leading to job? I am a med student from the USA with a strong academic record and college degree in Economics with business minor. I would like to leave medicine and travel to Singapore to work and live, maybe long term. I am interested in Banking and Finance. However I lack work experience and consequently don't offer much advantage to employers over local graduates. I am willing to undergo some job training or certifications if that will allow me to land a decent job with some firm. Temporarily I can provide for myself or have my family help me as long as I can make a living within a couple of months probably. What should I do? I really want to go there but I need to make a plan for it to happen. I am smart, single and motivated but the lack of experience has held me back in previous attempts to leave medicine. I am doing fine in medical school but disliking it. The paradox is that everyone wants experience. But to get experience, you need prior experience. Most college degrees are no big deal. They just show that you are dedicated and intelligent enough to finish college. I have heard of a CFA. In a few years I would like to get an MBA (INSEAD?) so I am not that keen on getting more than the minimal certifications to land some decent starting job right now. Surely not all the fresh grads have CFAs and 3-5 years of experience.

How to direct my career toward a job in the library field? I am currently a high school teacher, who has realized in the past year does not enjoy teaching. I love books and organizing and would like to direct my career toward something in the library field, not necessarily in a school. I have a B.A and a Masters in Education. I can't afford to go back to school right now, but if I could get into the library field and get some assistance I would gladly go back and get whatever additional training or schooling needed to further my career in this field. What would be the best way for me to get a job/ break into this field given my background and situation???? I already have a full time job (that is very demanding) that I am not willing to quit until I can get into this field and don't have time for another job at this point. I have taught at all the levels that my license allows from 7th grade to regular high school to high school for adults (my current job) and I didn't enjoy teaching at any level. I just want to be around books and reading and organizing and not have to teach! I am looking for alternatives to going back to school right now! I already have a ton of student loans and am saving for a house, so school is NOT an option right now. What are some career choices in animal training and behavior? I'm in college now for elementary education, but i'm starting to think it might not be for me. For almost 15 years i wanted to be a vet, but thats not something i'm quite interested in anymore. Something i have enjoyed is obedience and behavior training in my pets. I've fostered several dogs too, so i've had lots of practice with it. I'm just curious if there are some worth while careers in this area....or similar things. Let me know! :D some things i've thought about are leader dogs for the blind, service animals etc.....i'm just not sure what schooling i would need or anytng.
whats the best route to take for my career? please help!? im currently a freshman in college majoring in accounting and possibly going to minor in a foreign language. ive also been working at a bank for the past 3 years handling operations so ive got experience already. my goal is to become a special agent in the FBI specializing in white-collared crimes (crimes involving money) which is why im majoring in accounting. im also interested in the military because of the experience it will provide me and especially because of the career training it'll provide and all the other wonderful benefits. ive been looking into it and was thinking about the marines or army national guard. if i join the marines now i'm more than likely am going to be deployed immediately and won't be able to continute school? if i join the army national guard, i wont have to leave until 2 1/2 years from now. what should i do? will the military experience even be beneficial towards my career with the FBI? please help from anyone?!?!?!
I am a high school student, just finished Army Basic Training. Do I qualify for Education Career Stabilization Okay this question is mainly for those who's in the Army or someone who knows the info. And please don't give any political insight I just want a straight answer. Also I'm split ops and is in a Reserve's Signals Battalion. Army did not lower their standards. And split ops means that only high school student on their Junior or Senior year can join as long as they graduate. I'm only asking this cause I want to go to college. Should my Brother & Dad start a Jr. Dragster Training School? My brother was World Champ many times over few years ago in the Jr. Dragster Divisions. He has now moved into Top Fuel Dragsters but isn't doing good. All those in Jr.'s say he and my Dad were the best of the best. Over 200 trophies proves this. I think they should both quit the Top Fuel racing, its expensive and has no real career potential. I think they should open a Jr. Dragster Training School. Do you think this idea is a good one? If you had a 8-12 yr old son or daughter would you be interested in Jr. Dragster Racing? Would you rank a Jr. Dragster School in with other Racing schools?

Missionary Training school or back to college? I am currently attending Liberty University and recently God has placed on my heart to start my mission training. I have found this one school in Florida called the Teen Missions Int'l—Florida Free BIBLE, MISSIONARY and WORK Training Center and they offer free mission training. The thing is, I want to become a career missionary in about 3 years and most mission organizations ask that you have a 4 year degree to become career. I am just having difficult time finding God's will and to see if He wants me to go back to LU or train to be a missionary. I feel so called to be a missionary right now, but I dont want to make a choice that I would regret. Please help.
Is getting a career before "officially" going to college a bad idea? Since the cost of college tuition is getting pretty damn ridiculous, and I did not want to end up paying off loans for the rest of my life, I decided that I wanted to go into a Nursing program at a local community college - so that I would have a manner of paying for school when I decided to begin my education on a large scale. I found it somewhat disturbing when I discovered, then, that some institutions would not allow you to transfer and continue with your education if you had the equivalent of two years of college work under your belt. The Nursing program that I am now enrolled in is exactly two years, and I'm wondering whether or not I will not be allowed to continue at a better university because of this. I know that I should probably be asking people at the schools that I'm interested in, but I wanted to inquire first whether or not there was a blanket policy regarding whether career training courses counted toward transfer credits that would not be "allowed" at universities.
