I recently attended a seminar on how to get a government job. They had where you could pay a certain amount.. You could pay a certain amount down and some a month it was about $900 for the whole program but they would let you pay a small amount down and some a month. What would occur is you give your information then they send you study things in the mail after an amount of time they would tell you where to take your test. It was like a career training program in the government. At the time i couldn't do it but i was wondering if anyone knows about this and what it may be called? I am a high school student, just finished Army Basic Training. Do I qualify for Education Career Stabilization Okay this question is mainly for those who's in the Army or someone who knows the info. And split ops means that only high school student on their Junior or Senior year can join as long as they graduate. I'm only asking this cause I want to go to college. USMC vs. Navy training question ed. answers only plz? everyone tells me the marines have the most sense of honor/comradery and also is the most elite. I have also heard the navy is the best at training for post-military careers, as well as travel. But if i joined the corps, what kind of fire programs do they offer, more importantly can i pick an infantry MOS and still be cross trained to be a certified firefighter when my 4 years ends??? or will i just be the guy without the gun? because i would like the experience of being a marine, but want to gain a career out of the military. so with this info can some one give me some experienced advice??

Do you have a challenging and fun job?? I need to make a career change.? I have worked in retail, which I won't do again. I've worked as a waitress for many years. Great pay. But I physically can't do that anymore. And recently I've cleaned houses. I can no longer keep this job because it's too physically demanding on my body now. I was in an auto accident back in '04. Due to injuries to my SI joint I can't keep doing the things that I used to do without hurting. So, I am needing to make a career change. I loved my job. And was darn good at it too. How to start career in ballistics/forensic firearms examiner? I have researching for a while on different careers in forensic science, one that caught my eye was a firearms examiner. I just haven't found out how to get into this field as far as an entry level job and gaining experience. I have the right education for the job, just no experience with firearms. Do I need to start as a forensic science technician and gain entry into firearms examination from there? The Missouri Comission on Human Rights told me I have until June to take this matter to court. On or about the month of December 2004 I was hired on by the Missouri Department of Corrections at Moberly Correctional Center . While I was there I came in contact with a female employee whom I befriended. On or about March 2005 she and I left with our group to attend the training academy in Jefferson City, while there I made some decisions that did not hold up to my character. On several occasions during after duty hours I consumed alcohol with this particular female. However approximately the third week of training the last one of these occasions occurred with the end result of me being accused of sexual assault and terminated from my employment due to her allegations. The Department of Corrections states that I was terminated for bad conduct for consuming alcohol and being late for class (1day late due to illness & the only other day was the day after the alleged allegation). When I was terminated I appealed this decision because I felt I was being discriminated against however my appeal was denied. Given the facts this other female Individual was consuming alcohol just as often as I was and that she was late to class as often as I, their decision was to allow her to keep her employment but terminate mine. I am under the impression that they believe I actually committed these accusations therefore terminating me for sexual assault, if they were to honestly terminate me for bad conduct for the consumption of alcohol they would have terminated this female individual as well. Regardless of what the Department of Corrections may have in their records they were aware of her actions while in the training academy. I have a letter signed by the Macon County Victims Advocate dated February 7, 2007 which states quote “ I made several telephone calls to law enforcement in Jefferson City and was told upon investigation the overall feeling was that Ms. XXXX made the accusation in order to keep from getting in trouble with her employer for drinking while in training and having relations with a fellow correction officer” this letter also states “ Ms. XXXX had a history of making false allegations in Macon County ”. I have attached this letter. After this incident I filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity but did not follow through due to family emergencies and I had also contacted the State Reps., State Senate, Director of State, the Division Director of Department of Corrections and Superintendant of Moberly Correctional Center their decisions stood final. I also seeked counsel from an attorney in Macon County who wanted much more than I could afford being a single father with 2 children at that time. It wasn’t until recently that I applied for a position as a law enforcement officer with the Travis County Sheriffs Department in Austin , Texas and found that because of the mark on my employment record I would not be able to obtain the position I was longing for. My criminal record is clean, I have many accredited hours in Criminal Justice, I am only being held back from doing what I want to, do due to false accusations from an unbalanced young lady. I am coming forward to all of you in the hopes of clearing my employment record. Airline pilot career: College Vs Flight academy? ok, so im a 17 year old highschool senior, time is running out and my dream carreer has always been to become a professional airline pilot. i've done some research and theres a couple of possible ways i could take to get there. i've narrowed my choices to attend a 4 year college or a flight school. the problem is that i need good advice on wich would be best for me. i've been looking arround and most academies (such as Delta connection flight academy) offer the training in arround or less than 24 months. vs a college wich will take 4 years and arround the same price but with a bachelor's degree in aviation science. so my question is, wich one will give me the best preparation, education and promise to get me hired with a respective airline faster? ps. if i decide to go trough a college, i am hoping to attend Bridgewater state college in MA. any additional info on that would be appreciated, thanks.

HELP! Career Related? Hello! Advice/suggestions needed! I’ll try and include as much info as I can! I went to Uni with not very good A’levels to study Forensic Science but ended up leaving due to illness. (I was struggling anyway!) After that, once I got better I worked part time for the same company as my Dad (he’s accountant) and ended up working as a credit controller, getting money in for the company from credit accounts. I have done a few courses and I am about to do a 6 week course to get my diploma in credit control (very exciting, I know!!) so at least I have some kind of qualification. The money is ok, less than £20k, and I spend about £200 in petrol a month for work use only. The job is ok – I go through spells of hating it and then quite enjoying it which I realise most people will have with their jobs but just feel like I want to be passionate about what I do, and I’m not! Credit Controllers are not generally paid much more than what I’m on, except if you are the credit manager and getting this diploma would help me get a better paid job like that. (Once I’ve done the exams I am tied to this company for a year unless I pay them back for the course, which I know is fair, but the course could be £1000 or maybe more – I’m not sure.) But the trouble is it’s just not “me”. I feel really strongly that there is a definite path I should be following but I don’t know what it is. I wanted to work with disabled people when I was younger and I would also love to work with animals, but I am scared of some animals so that kind of limits me! I also dabble with tarot cards and feel like I’m quite open to that kind of thing, but I just can’t quite think of what it is I should be doing with my life!! I am a very caring kind of person although quite sensitive and really feel in my gut that I should be doing something to help others. I’m 24 and hoping to have kids around 30-ish so got a few years left before maternity leave/possible break from work to care for young kids etc. I have said to people before the kind of things I’d like to do and when I’ve said that I would need it to be paid similar to what I’m on now they say “well you should do it because it’s what you want to do, not for money!” Obviously they don’t have bills to pay and financial ties!! I have a year, while I fulfil the obligation to this company after the exam, to maybe train in my spare time for something else, then move on in a year, with my credit control diploma under my belt to fall back on.
