Where can I find resources to put together a psychometric /career aptitude test? I need to put together a career aptitude test for teenagers for a career - study skills workshop. Please help me out with the different tests available. It has to be paper based. So it cannot be online. Any info about Personality type tests are also welcome.
Did a career aptitude test ever direct someone to their final career choice? You know those career aptitude, interest surveys you can take at your local college that are supposed to analyze your personality and tell you what kind of job you would be good at? Has anybody actually done one of those surveys and then taken the suggestion given to you by the test? I dunno...the first time i took the test it told me i should be a farmer...lol..and thats definately not me. i think ill try again.
Looking for a career aptitude test to help me determine what I should do next...? I'm a recent high school grad who is not interested in the traditional college experience...I need to find a career path to support my interest in working with animals long term yet at the same time I have no interest in being a full-time student or leading the dormitory lifestyle...however I am interested in being a part-time student and possibly picking a path where I can be out of school within 2 to 4 years...I graduated high school while working full time and it looks like my first year or two in college will have to be the same way... any sites online where I can take an aptitude test that might fit?

Has anyone ever heard of the "ASVAB military aptitude test? Given to Juniors in H.S.? Often administered under the guise of a career aptitude test, the ASVAB's purpose is to better equip the State to prey on young people tricked or pressured into taking the test. According to Debbie Hopper of Mothers Against the Draft, it is often given under the pretext of being a "career placement" test. (In some cases it has in fact been used that way, no doubt in an attempt to legitimize what many Americans regard as not legitimate: the use of government schools as military recruiting grounds.) (Alert: The No Child Left Behind Act allows access to all information needed by the military. Perhaps parents need to take a look at this "ACT".) If the US military is so good, so up front, so completely honest, why do they have to engage in so many sneaky tactics in order to entice recruits!? things have changed over the past few years. I LOVE kids & all the career aptitude tests show that I should be an elementary school teacher but...? everyone's saying that elementary school teachers make nothing and I'm a smart girl and I should go into some better.... I personally really would love working with kids and teaching them new things. I've worked at daycare before and done a LOT of babysitting. I love it. But it's true. There's not that much money here. I was thinking of opening up the best daycare ever... with really good programs and very healthy food. Do you think I should go for it? (of course, I will do all the research and get licenced).
